❝ STOP. That is far enough! ❞ The stern statement could be heard before Genos truly made his appearance, leaping down from the rooftop he’d been hiding on. He’d been trailing Fubuki for the past ten minutes, not even really being all that subtle about it because HE WANTED HER TO KNOW. Any time he caught her too near the area where he and Saitama lived, Genos considered it SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR even if she had yet to go and bother his teacher.

❝ There have not been any reports of monsters nearby so you DO NOT have any business skulking around this area. I suggest that you and your underlings leave. ❞

@elitexclass​ : " Genos?" Saitama turns from his futon, sitting up to look at his sleeping friend. "Genos- Hey, Genos? You okay? " reaching over Sai nudges the cyborgs metal arm.

If it were LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE that could’ve been a deadly idea, the gears and mechanisms in his body beginning to whir as Genos shot up IMMEDIATELY with his entire body glowing and heated and incineration canon ready to blow. He was frazzled in a way that was uncharacteristic, eyes wide and PANTING, heavy, metal shoulders heaving with the effort.

❝ S-sensei...? ❞ Even if it was dark he could see clear as day, his night vision flicking on automatically allowing him to assess the situation. None of the proximity alarms had gone off, Saitama was fine, and HE WAS FINE.

...but he’d nearly just made a mess of everything which, naturally, spurred him into motion as he cooled off and bowed low from where he was sitting, his forehead pressed all the way to the ground. A show of TOTAL SUBMISSION. In waking from his nightmare he must have bothered Saitama and SURELY he’d be upset. He felt like a terrible disciple.

❝ Apologies, sensei, I did not mean to disturb your sleep! I would understand if you asked that I leave so you may continue to rest! ❞

❝ Hmm? ❞ Saitama glances away from the manga spread apart by his fingers to see the cyborg standing before him. Christmas? ‘Oh, Crap- ‘ was it already that time of year again? He didn’t get Genos anything. Shit. Wait- what was that question? ❝ Huh? Oh- I mean, I don’t see why not. Did you have something in mind? ❞

     Taken aback by his teacher's response, the blond cyborg's eyes slightly widened. He thought that Saitama might enjoy a small change of pace and used Christmas as a mere excuse to spend some time together outside of doing heroic activities and training. 〝 Maybe a cat café? Or maybe... an arcade? 〞 he suggested and almost had to bite his tongue to stop himself from reciting a list that he prepared in advance for the occasion. Spending his time in leisure was a foreign concept for Genos, and as long as he could've stayed by Saitama's side, it was more than enough for him.

     〝 Is there anywhere you'd like to go, sensei? 〞

“ Hey mister, you wouldn’t happen to know where the Takoyaki shop would be would you?” Saitama casually asks amidst the chaos that seemed to be spreading the streets.

★— USHERING CIVILIANS TO ONE SIDE with chants of ‘Keep moving’ and ‘Stay close to your loved ones’ - when there was a large monster plaguing the city it was AWFULLY difficult to keep the peace. Understandably -- hearing loud crashes and explosions behind them wasn’t exactly a reassuring sign - but first thing was first, he had to clear out the area. 

Just when he thought that he was done --- he hears a voice and in front of him was a man with the shiniest bald head he had ever seen; the way it caught the light was almost as though it had been polished. 

...And he looked so calm, despite what was going on. As though what was happening meant NOTHING. 

Steve blinked with surprise, trying to figure out-- wait, did this guy just ask where a Japanese food joint was while this was going on?
