she buys him a watch at some stage when she saves for MONTHS and he finds a bracelet that looks similar and gets her one so they match

“i can see that,” luke quips, eyebrows raising as her hair whips about her face. she went directly into death throes from the moment she was caught; it’s amusing to see her so energetic as he rests, waiting for her twisting arm to once again still beneath his fingers. “it’s not my fault i speak the truth.”

“bullshit!” her eyes are alight with amusement and adoration, fist unclenched to slip her arm straight out of his hand. her momentum takes her careering to the floor, but she doesn’t seem too phased. “it’s way bullshit, i don’t think you actually believe that z-box is better than gamestation! even if you did, i hate that you told me so!”

the smile on her face inspires one of his own. “it’s the truth, babe.”

“fuck you. blocked in real life. never talk to me again.”

he laughs, then, a sound that seems to send goosebumps racing over her skin. her throat, seemingly on fire, seems to close tighter the closer he gets. “let’s agree to disagree.”

whatever protest she has is swallowed when he kisses her.

okay i just thought of this but i have a headcanon that luke had his Cursed Long Hair in his first year and if eli had her first year at asagao luke tried to ask her out but she replied "only if you cut your hair" so he comes to school the next day w his short hair (bonus if he's still got the lil curls on the back of his head)

im fuckin... screaming ??? the lil curls are a!eli’s (and, by proxy, mine) WEAKNESS and she’d be so swooned (’caddy he cut his hair for me’ / ‘i know eli i was there’) theyre so GROSS i fucking HATE THEM
