Lizzy Savetsky Quits RHONY Reboot!
The RHONY reboot seems to be dead on arrival. After reports of nightmare casting, now a housewife has dropped out of the production!
According to Page Six there was a heated moment between Elizabeth “Lizzy” Savetsky and Brynn Whitfield during filming that led to Lizzy quitting the show.
Lizzy is a matchmaker and when Brynn asked her to set her up with a Jewish man, she answered that she only set up Jewish couples.
Brynn had allegedly been offended by Lizzy’s comment and basically referred to her like a Nazi!
When I read this story, my mind immediately went to the feud between Margaret Josephs and Siggy Flicker on RHONJ! And that didn’t end well…
When Lizzy and Brynn were done filming, they had a phone call where they talked about racial slurs.
But instead of calming the situation, their phone call only created more turmoil. It only increased more fuel to the fire.
Brynn had allegedly used the N-word and Lizzy was afraid that she would insinuate to the other women that Lizzy had used the N-word too, for some reason.
And her husband had allegedly used the N-word to a producer while discussing the situation too. So… yeah, it doesn’t look good.
It seems like her hand was more or less forced to remove herself from RHONY though.
Lizzy posted a statement on Instagram, saying this:
“Unfortunately, from the time of my announcement in the cast, I was on the receiving end of a torrent of antisemitic attacks. As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family.”
Is it an excuse that she’s blaming antisemitic attacks as a reason for leaving? Was she forced to leave by the producers?
Lizzy was first tested for RHOD as she’s originally from Texas and I think she was the first housewife Bravo wanted for the reboot of RHONY.
It must be a huge failure for Bravo that she’s now leaving the production.
If Bravo wanted a fresh start free from the toxicity that Ramona Singer brought on the show, then they’ve failed miserably!
