Searching in Darker Places-David and Elizabeth
The house had been cheap, affordable. That's all David could ever ask for really. The mass expanse of the house was comforting. It seemed to prove how much bigger the world was than him, but these were merely musings of an ever curious boy.
19 and yet still with a heart as pure as gold, as white as snow. Never had he been kissed or even thought about kissing a girl. Girls had come onto him only to be friend zoned. David didn't really think much of it and who needed girls when you had wings?
No matter, he was now the rather proud owner of this overwhelmingly beautiful house that had seemed ten times over his budget, but no. It had been right on the dot, as if it were god given. David believed in God, of course. That was something he strongly held to himself, though his mom had been an atheist He always felt some kind of connection with religion and the creatures that existed in the world.
Yet this house was anything but heaven and god was not present here. David would soon find this out.
