Last few photos from the bison range. . Miss them already. Since I left a few days earlier than expected, I didn't get a chance for a final good bye son pun. Or good bison pic. . Anyway, I'll try to visit again in the summer. Troy is cool. It's taking some time to find new spots since there's not a big wildlife refuge as a go-to spot. Well, I did drive to Kootenai wildlife refuge yesterday, but it's about an hour drive. I like to have some close spots I can visit every day. . I've been hiking a lot and not taking a ton of photos and also don't really have internet yet, but I still have some stuff to share in the next few days. I also think it's a little but of a weird time of year for wildlife in the shoulder season between winter and spring. Hibernating animals are just starting to come out or will soon and a lot of other animals are hidden away making nests and dens. But being in the mountains and forests has meme interested in taking more nature photos again, I mean like plants and forest moreso than strictly wildlife and an occasional landscape. . I went for a really nice walk in the forest today. It was just a flatish loop around a lake, but so calm and peaceful and pretty. Didn't see that much wildlife and nothing out of the ordinary, but it was so nice and that's what got me thinking about trying some different types of photos. But I was enjoying my walk so much, I didn't want to fuss around with switching lenses even though I still always carry around at least 3 lenses other than the super-tele. I can't wait to start seeing wildflowers and mushrooms and all the fun spring stuff. Gonna have to get back into the habit of waking up well before sunrise to do that, though!
