DAX. when i need to? i try to stay truthful. but fail. if it doesn't hurt nobody, then no need to. IZZY. some things are better if you don't tell the truth. or not the full truth either way. lying can't be all that bad if what you want is to protect someone else. or even yourself. ARIA. i am a terrible liar. my nose doesn't grow, but it might as well. i think honesty is the key to good connections.

MAL. shit, man. i don't even know- depends? like- i know i can sell. i'm pretty confident on that. i'm a good brother, so i guess i can be confident there. i dunno. you tell me. DAX. confidence is a social construct that we are expect to perform realistically every single day.

ARIA. i like to believe in the concept of karma. i don't need to do anything to avenge myself- the universe will take care of it. MAL. definitely. life's too shitty to some good folks, and too great to some who don't deserve it. if someone comes near me or my people, they gotta see what's coming for them. IZZY. abso-fucking-lutely. they had it coming. IVAN. can we just chill out? and like... not even start a fight?

ELLA. every single day of my life. i'm a bad daughter, a bad sister, a bad worker, a bad girlfriend... i could barely count myself as a functional person, to be honest. IVAN. all the fuckin' time, mate. i can't shake the feelin' of the things i've done before, and how i don't deserve shit anymore.

context. post breakup- maybe just a couple weeks. they are hanging out at somebody's house. it's a small reunion, but out of spite and heartbreak, ella ended up drinking too much and she is in possession of her phone. she is staring at riley across the room, while he talks to some other girl, who ella thinks is no better than her.

∗ 15﹕ what was your childhood monster or fear, if you had one? (for ella)

"I went through phases- but the biggest one- well, to this day I cannot stand to look under my bed. Last time I got a bed, I specifically asked for it not to have anything underneath. Ever since I was six, I always felt like there was something about to grab my ankles every single time I got up from my bed- I literally had to jump to land a few feet away to feel a little safer."

∗ 20﹕ how would you describe yourself when you love? do you love forcefully, unconditionally, gently, quietly, desperately? (for aria and any other muse you want to answer for)

ARIA IC: I would say i'm the unconditional kind, and the very loud kind of lover. not like i have a lot of romantic experience, but with my friends, i do not like to hold back, you know? it's like- why would you love somebody in silence when there are so many ways to let them know you love them, you know?

OOC: Aria's love language is a mix of them all. She is indeed unconditional and very very passionate. She doesn't hold back, nor she expects anything back. She doesn't prioritize feeling loved as much as she should- she has been stepped on many times, simply because she is willing to step in front of a bullet for somebody who once called her pretty. She tends to confuse platonic love with romantic love- it is not something that has her sleepless, but she does fall in love with people after a couple seconds of knowing them. She is also very used to being displaced- she knows to expect that from people. She is the first choice until she isn't. It hurts her heart, but it is something she has learned.

ELLA IC: I love love. I don't know where the world would be without it. It sounds corny, but it is so necessary. I am the quiet type- I am more gentle and giving than I can be loud or very demonstrative.

OOC: Ella is desperate for love and attention at all times, therefore her actions tend to follow along that line. She will turn herself into anything and anyone the other person may want, or what she thinks they want. She has lost herself so many times in the process, it has messed up her identity more than a little bit. She doesn't know who she is when it comes to love and to a conscious degree, she is quite aware, although not proud. She has also learned her value comes from her looks and the physical part of what she can offer, so that makes her come off as more desperate and needy than usual.

IZZY IC: fuck love. i don't know what it is, i don't know what i am. i just- i mean, i love my dad? i loved my mom. i love ballet. it's not like- like i can choose how to love every single thing in my life- it just happens.

OOC: Izzy is perhaps the corniest of my characters very deep within. She is also the unconditional type, but she is the girl that hides in the background- she is the wallflower who will do everything for the people she loves, but will never take credit for it, instead watch other people do it for her. She doesn't think she's pretty enough, or cool enough, or interesting enough, therefore she thinks she's come to terms with the idea of not being the girl people like. It hurts her, and she thinks about this on every sleepless night.
