Photo & Review: Jelani Aryeh and Hippo Campus performed a thrilling show in Atlanta

Thursday night Jelani Aryeh opened up another incredible show on Hippo Campus’ tour in Atlanta. His confidence and energetic stage presence along with his band members’ made them look like they could be the main act. They mainly played hits off of Aryeh’s latest album I’ve Got Some Living To Do such as “From These Heights” and “Marigold”. If you didn’t enter the show as a fan, there’s a great chance you left as one. To end his captivating set, the California singer and his band played his fan-favorite song “Stella Brown” which, no surprise, everyone sang along to. If you’re going to a Hippo Campus show this tour, make sure to get there early and catch Jelani Aryeh as he’s an opener you don’t want to miss.

Next up were the frontrunners themselves - Hippo Campus - making their first return to Atlanta since 2019. You could feel the excited energy from both the band and the crowd resonating throughout the venue. The set list held a lot of songs off their third and latest album LP3 such as “Bang Bang”, “Boys”, and “Ride or Die”. Despite the songs being newer, fans knew and screamed every word back to the stage. The Minnesota-native band mentioned several times how happy they were to be playing in Georgia again. To close out an amazing show, the band played “Bambi” and “Buttercup”, two all time fan-favorite songs, which gained a lot of ecstatic reactions from the crowd. If you have the opportunity, definitely catch Hippo Campus on this tour because they are back and better than ever.

Photo: Clairo put on a performance to remember on the Sling Tour at her hometown of Atlanta

Saturday night, Clairo brought the Sling Tour to her hometown of Atlanta. This sold out show was the first of two nights at the Tabernacle, which brought her tour to an end. Clairo is a performer that has you holding your breath so you can hear every note she sings and plays. Her gorgeous heartfelt songwriting coupled with emotive piano playing resonated throughout the whole venue. Fans harmonized with songs off of her first album “Immunity” and her latest album “Sling”. Although the Sling Tour is now sadly over, you can relive the event through our Atlanta photo gallery.

Photo: Tessa Violet brought a night of colour in Atlanta opening for Cavetown

Saturday night, Tessa Violet returned to play in Atlanta at the Tabernacle. She opened for artist Cavetown and got the crowd hyped up for the rest of the show. Tessa said that if the crowd wasn’t “crying of excitement” by the end of her set, she failed her job as an opener. 

She played her hits such as “Crush” and tiktok-popular track “Yes Mom”. The crowd, donned in a lot of Tessa Violet merch, loved every second of it. She definitely did not fail her job as a warm up act. Tessa also joined Cavetown on stage during his set to perform “Smoke Signals”.

Overall, her energetic and colourful set was a fantastic start to the show. If you’re going to see Cavetown on the rest of his US tour, be sure to show up early so you don’t miss Tessa’s set.

Photo: Del Water Gap’s energetic Atlanta show was an extra special evening

Tuesday night, Del Water Gap played a show in Atlanta for the first time since starting to tour. The show was opened by Taylor Janzen, whose powerful vocals and lyrics gained a lot of fans in the crowd. 

It was an energetic set filled with the band’s hits such as “Perfume” and “Lets Pretend”. The show also fell on the 6 month anniversary of their debut self-titled album, which made the night feel extra special. From singing to the crowd to jumping around on stage, there was never a dull moment. If they’re coming to a city near you, definitely catch Del Water Gap on the rest of their tour.

Photo: SAMIA lit up the Masquerade in Atlanta on her ‘LOVING U THANKING U’ Tour

Tuesday night SAMIA brought her “LOVING U THANKING U” tour to the Masquerade in Atlanta. The show was opened by singer Annie Dirusso, whose colourful neon aesthetics and fun energy got the whole crowd dancing and singing along. SAMIA’s energy also didn’t disappoint, resonating throughout the whole venue. The singer played hits off of her debut album The Baby such as “Big Wheel” and “Minnesota” while showing off her dance moves around the stage. If you want a show that makes you feel like dancing as if nobody’s watching, definitely catch SAMIA as she finishes up her tour.

Photo & Review: COIN’s highly anticipated Atlanta show went down a treat

After waiting a year, COIN played their highly anticipated Atlanta show to a sold out crowd at The Tabernacle. The show was opened by Wanderwild and Mazie. The set list, which is inspired by fan input, hailed songs from all eras of the band. Going from songs such as “Malibu 1992” to “Youu”, it was the perfect mix of tear-jerkers and shout-from-the-rooftop anthems. Their energy and excitement resonated throughout the historic venue. They were so in awe of the fan’s response that they thanked the crowd for giving COIN’s music a “life of it’s own”. The Nashville-native band has created their own separate world with fans at live shows. Every lyric was echoed back by the fans without fail.

If you have the chance, definitely go catch COIN on the rest of the Rainbow Dreamland tour.
