#rare post from me time BUT i am a HUGEEE legally blonde nerd AND your local legally blonde nerd noticed a plothole.

in legally blonde 2: red, white, and blonde, elle states she found bruiser after he was abandoned on the street as a puppy. the whole beginning plot is finding his birth mother. she makes a whole presentation about how he struggled on the streets of bel-air before she found him, rescued him, and took him in, making him the iconic online-shopping chihuahua-american he is now.

now, in elle (2026), before she moves to seattle, in arguibly one of the biggest moments in elle's life that follows her into the iconic films, her mom, eva, gifts bruiser to her. when elle says "did you adopt or did you shop?" to eva, she lets her daughter know that bruiser was technically adopted from some neighbors that were moving out and they simply didn't have space for him.

so. instead of a heartfelt scene where high school aged elle woods find little bruiser on the street (the way canon wrote it over 20 years ago, might i add), they just hop, skipped, and jumped over that little fact? ..... like shouldnt they have . idk . checked that??? ITS YOUR PREQUEL SHOW????????? HOW DO YOU MESS THAT UP

(this is petty but i did not like the ending or how they treated elle in the second half of the series so i am a tiny bit angry.)
