hi im 10 years late to this fandom
It started in 1972 as a reaction to the demolition of a Venetian-era church in the Cretan town of Iraklio, and in the years that followed it put up a series of tough battles as the voice of reason against controversial legislation and plans. At the same time, it also developed interesting initiatives and campaigns for the protection of the environment and cultural heritage.
Elliniki Etairia (ELLET), the Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage, this year celebrates 45 years of social actions in the public sphere.
The first battle ELLET fought shortly after it was established in 1972 was against plans to build a cement plant in Methana in the eastern Peloponnese. Its next campaign was against the creation of a shipbuilding zone in Pylos, the picturesque harbor town in the southwestern Peloponnese, a project that would have put the entire area on a completely different course had it come to fruition.
For Ellet,

🌌: what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?
While my general love for shadow-faced wizards played in, Ellet was most inspired by Shopkeeper Magolor! In early ideas, he was a traveling shopkeep even ^^; From the start I wanted his personality to contrast with Momone's cheerful, optimistic one, leading me to characterize him as a more prickly, short-tempered type.
🍀: do they believe in luck? are they lucky?
He believes in luck for small things, like losing an earring or finding just the right gift for someone you care for. But when it comes to the bigger things, like an encounter just at the right time, or a stair giving way just then, he believes there has to be a reason for, that those things don't just Happen.
He's not particularly lucky as a whole, but he has had a few moments
A very spoopy doodle I drew of my coworker’s DND character Ellet <3. She’s possessed by 1,000 ghosts! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #thedarkbetween #campaign #ellet #spooky #doodle #drawing #traditional #art #pen #ink #gel #sketch #ghosts #possessed https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs--oWLB6OM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ddls2e9tau7h
Continuing my current fascination with signs. This old haunt closed a few years ago I think. It's been way longer since it was The "New!" Holiday Lounge. In #ellet. Taken on a Polaroid. (at Holiday Lounge)
Lionel in the Cellar by Adrian D'Alessio Via Flickr: Built for me by my cousin's husband this was a cool train layout. But since he was over six feet tall it was scaled to his height and not mine. A real bummer for me. I never got the enjoyment out of it i would have. It inspired me though to built my first layout in HO at the age of 14. I put it together, table, wooden roadbed and flex track with little help from adults.
