I think Pietro and Evan could have had a thing with them growing up together and having budding feelings, but Pietro totally fucked it by going in the entire opposite direction, acting insufferable to cover his true feelings and jealousy, and literally getting Evan jailed bc he took it too far. Even tho Evan kind of had feelings for him too and they won't even know this about themselves until it's too late and then just be sad about it.

Pietro like, "He won't know I have a crush on him if he thinks I hate him instead."

Self-sabotage is his forte after all.
