Okie-dokie, I’m about 3/4th done with the outline for the Bluetooth fic.
It’s....weird. I’ve written the details of the case they’re investigating, even though none of those details are actually going to show up in fic (or at least not as indepth as I’m outlining). As of now, the fic is only going to be comprised of interactions between John and Sherlock and their relationship, with references to the case they’re investigating, and yet here I am, making a backstory.
All I wanted to do was write a fun, fluffy meeting the parents unilock. That's all I wanted. Instead I just HAVE to add in some angst, and emotional self-doubt and hurt. What is wrong with me?

I started writing my fic again! I know I said it before, then stopped almost immediately afterwards, but it still feels good.
Only 700 words, and even if I keep moving at a snail's pace, I wrote!! I'm getting it done!
As a non-LGBT person, I need some insight into whether or not this is mildly homophobic.
I’m writing a scene where Sherlock is teasing Mike by being a little TMI about his (Sherlock’s) relationship with John. I wrote Mike laughing and telling him to shut up because he doesn’t want to know about them having sex. This is a unilock, and Mike is John’s roommate, and earlier he was teasing John and Sherlock about how thin the walls are and how “active” they are. Mike’s not supposed really to be grossed out by it, but rather just acting over the top in his reactions when Sherlock starts going into the details.
As I said, I’m not LGBT, and I’m worried that I’m making it seem like Mike is overreacting because they’re two guys, and not just because he doesn’t want to know about his friends, regardless of gender, getting it on. I’m also not a guy, so I don’t really know how guys react if a friend does start going into detail about their sex life, whether with a guy or a girl. Personally, I don’t really want to hear a play by play of my friends’ sex lives (unless they’re with someone who’s really bad and my friend needs to vent).
So yeah, let me know what you think because I’d hate to accidentally write something that could be hurtful, or even slightly homophobic. (The rare times homophobia shows up in my writing, it’s always reserved for the “bad guys” and used to highlight what shitlords they are)
Alrighty, because I can’t help myself, I’ve started filling in the outline for the next fic in my ‘Breaking the Grip’ series. Hopefully I can get started on writing the actual story this weekend, but who knows (I sure as hell don’t!)

I started writing this EIGHT months ago (had the idea nine), and I’m finally done! I’m not even sure this is my best work, but it’s been cooking so long, I’m damn proud of it.
The word count is just over 45K, and I’m unsure of what the final chapter count will be (I have to read over and find the best places for breaks). I’m just happy to be done, and can’t wait to share it with the johnlock community
I have to edit the first chapter and will hopefully have it posted tomorrow!
