Beber Camp Annual Campaign Committee
The Annual Campaign Committee is made up of representatives from across the Beber family, from current campers and parents to alumni and staff, all of which are committed to helping Beber provide scholarship for all campers in need. For six years, Beber has actively fundraised to cover all scholarship needs, ensuring that Beber has never had to turn away a camper due to financial need, and we never will.
The Annual Campaign Committee is comprised of several sub-committees:
Auction Committee oversees the Annual Summer Auction, which will start this year on June 22.
Parent Committee supports campers and parents as they put together a Mitzvah Project to support the Annual Campaign.
Camper Committee creates events like Beber Day at CPK and beautiful bracelets for campers to wear all summer.
Young Alumni Families Committee engages alumni parents with young kids, putting together fundraisers such as the Elegant Farmer Pie Drive and Beber Lunch at Potbelly.
Young Alumni Committee connects with younger alumni in Chicago through local events and their annual Beber Rocks Bar Night.
Legacy Circle Committee recruits new members to our Legacy Circle and connects with the current Legacy Circle community.
On Wednesday, April 15, Marc and I invited the Annual Campaign Committee to come to the Beber office in Skokie for an opportunity to review our progress so far for the year, and to gear up for the rest of the events we have coming up (including, but not limited to, Beber Rocks and the summer auction). While we spend the majority of the year on group emails and calls, it was wonderful to see representatives of every committee come together to learn what all of the other committees have accomplished since our first meeting of the year in October.
The Annual Campaign is hoping to raise $240,000 for camper scholarship this year. We have currently raised $143,000, which is incredible for only being halfway through our fundraising year. While we are all excited about what has been accomplished, we know that there is still work to be done to reach our goal by the end of the fiscal year, which ends on September 30.
