Finished my little animation! Warning for drawings of severed chicken feet. Nothing super gory.

This is a little recording of my grandmother (that’s her radio playing in the background) when she got talking about one of her old art professors who had them draw from all kinds of unexpected objects. It just really stuck with me and I wanted to make something with it.

Unidentifiable hand drawn blobs zoom or rotate around the photographed forms, while some of the lichens have been edited to spin themselves. But there isn’t overall a lot of motion. An entirely drawn figure swims lazily from the lower left to the upper right, moseying between lichens. It’s small and pink and kind of shaped like a pill and kind of like a pig.
