i do want people to know that though i have made the decision to stay in the stranger things fandom that i still do not support the actors in any way and will always advocate for a free palestine. ive kind of come to the conclusion of separating art from the artist in this instance and im definitely staying away from posts related to the actors specifically, especially noah schnapp (and from what ive heard the actor for murray bauman) because fuck him, he genuinely sucks. hes said and advocated for disgusting and morally reprehensible things. it genuinely ruined stranger things for me for a while. but i think that there's power in taking a story and the characters involved back for what it means to you; to not let the people who are ruining it own it. the messages of love and kindness in the story, regardless of whether they were intended, will always transcend past what cruel people have to say.
