Today I will bring you a small gift as another Sims 3 save file.
And this time it's the town of Elmdale!
I want to note right away that it is partially "sewn from parts". That is, I borrowed some sections from:
• Queenstown
• Redcliffs
• Willapa Valley
• Meadow Glen
I also took some plots from the user:
@purplellama
@alligatorcowboyboots
HOWEVER!
I built many parks on my own!
The city looks solid and independent, and not a copy of some other city.
I also took some plots from the author of the town:
Elmdale, sims 3 world for download
(Initially, I did not plan to upload this file at all, because I was worried about the fact that I did not build many sites on my own. I hope you won't scold me too much for this.)
View from above:
I made this city a long time ago and redone it several times to make the town look beautiful and to include everything necessary for a busy life.

I hope you enjoy my version of the town and your Sims will find something to do! 💛
💬 4 🔁 19 ❤️ 83 · Hello, friends! · Today I will bring you a small gift as another Sims 3 save file.
And this time it's the town of Elmdal
World by @christie-leaf I SO LOVE the build in the third picture. This world has some really pretty parks and some beautiful landscaping. There's a lot to look at here!
While being stuck at home for months on end, there are two things that have brought me joy: Schitt’s Creek and the Sims 4. Over the last few weeks, these obsessions have culminated in recreating the town in none other than Willow Creek.
Builds included:
The Motel
Café Tropical
Bob’s Garage
Rose Apothecary / alternate pre-Rose General Store
Town Hall
Ted’s Veterinary Office and apartment
The Wobbly Elm bar
Ronnie’s house
Mutt’s barn
Roland and Jocelyn’s house
Bob and Gwen’s house
Ray Butani’s house and office
Patrick’s apartment/building
Stevie’s apartment/building
Jake’s garage-house
Patrick and David’s Rosehill Cottage
Ivan’s home bakery
A house for Twyla
A Jazzagals duplex
A romantic hiking trail
A town library
And somehow, that wasn’t enough! I also created Elmdale in Newcrest!
Builds included:
The Blouse Barn
Christmas World
The Elmdale Inn Restaurant
Crystal Elms Lodge and Spa
Herb Ertlinger Winery (Technically a Schitt’s Creek establishment, but I ran out of room)
Miguel’s Vet Clinic
Elmdale College (library)
Second Street Playhouse (Art Center) (the Cabaret Theatre)
Elm Glen Golf Club (cafe)
The Courthouse and all Government offices (museum)
Elmdale Exercise Center
Houses for Elmdale residents
The last three builds are a luxury beach house for Stavros, the Darwin Research Center in Sulani, and Bob and Gwen’s Cabin in Granite Falls. I created as many characters that I could, with many sprinkled in the other worlds where appropriate.
I tried to make everything as accurate as possible, while also limiting the packs I used per build in so that it would remain as accessible as possible. No CC and only a few MOO occasions. Honestly, I don’t know how practical it would be to play in, but if you’re a fan of the show you might enjoy looking around at all the little details!
Used in at least one build:
Expansion Packs: Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University
Game Packs: Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Vampires, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, Strangerville, Realm of Magic
Stuff Packs: Spooky Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Moschino Stuff, Tiny Living
Save 49 is a “New in Town” save, where the only difference is that the apothecary is the original general store, and save 48 is as pictured with the apothecary owned by David. I’m uploading all the builds and sims to my gallery as well if you’d like to download from there.

so - while I’m working on my next CyberCity chapter I got the urge to sip coffee at a quaint side cafe on a street in Paris. Because - of course I did. So since I needed something a bit more ‘city’ than what World Adventures provided (and I REALLY wanted some riverwalks) I wandered around until I found Elmdale! It’s a beautiful empty world with lots of places for my river walks so I dropped in an Eiffel Tower and off I went. Of course before you can sip coffee and contemplate the meaning of life, you need a place to live. Ta da!
Parisian Flats - do you have a world renowned novel you need to write? A painting waiting to be created and unleashed on the gauche world? A famous cooking dish in need of creating? What you need is a garret in Paris to starve and suffer you way to greatness! We don’t have a garret. But we do have a lovely apartment right in the cultured heart of the City of Love just waiting for someone to fall in love with and move right in. Stop by and pick up your keys today! Your muse will thank you

lot contains cc (LOTS of it)! Please download responsibly.
ps: if anyone wants just the shell without the decorated apartment just let me know and I’ll link that too. I went overboard with the cc but the building itself is a lot of promise even without all of the extras.
Elmdale’s central district gets a gleaming makeover as a throwback to much more genteel times. This was meant to recall the City Beautiful movement, which characterized a reformist approach to North American architecture that fought urban blight through beautification of urban areas and the construction of monumental public architecture. And all at the expense of actually providing sufficient employment, education, and better sanitation for the poor.
Contrast this to the modern “City Hideous” paradigm that began during the 1970s and endures today, focusing on incredibly ugly and ergonomically impractical concrete edifices and poor city planning in general.
In this case, the planners of Elmdale c. 1900 wanted a town that evoked the grandeur of Greece and Rome and recalled the artsy, intellectual atmosphere of their contemporaneous counterparts in Europe.
To this end, I added a fountain for Elgin Square and downloaded a recolor of the City hall to create a unified whitewashed theme for the entire square.
