So, how does one find these posts on here? Do they just search for a random tag or something or do people actually come to this blog and read them...? I'm confused. *sighs* Anyway, here is a little Jalmont Au. I have two Au's for Jalmont, one is where Jack is a cat and Elmont is a wolf(this one), and then the other is sort of like Alpha and Omega, where everyone is a wolf. Though, if you had read my previous Jalmont Drabbles, the ones of Fanfiction, I guess you would already know that. *smiles* Sorry if you do. Anyway, enjoy, I suppose.
Jack whimpered lightly as he curled up on the cold, muddy ground of the dark forest. He almost forgot how he ended up like this, but the vivid memory of dog’s barking and wolves howling was perminent in his mind.
His black fur blended with the ground, keeping him safe from predators.
He squeaked a little in fear when he felt a spider crawling on his tail and he flicked his tail out quickly, getting rid of the spider.
He shivered from the cold and closed his eyes tightly.
The little cat wished someone would find him already; though he wanted that someone to be his knight in shining armor, Elmont, and not some creepy pedo-animal or predator looking for a meal.
Jack jumped in fright when he heard a very loud and very scary wolf howl, though he relaxed when he recognised the howl and his eyes widened in hope.
He meowed out in response, though his voice was bitter and shaky from both the cold and from running so much.
The wolf howled again and Jack tried to meow before erupting into a fit of coughs and shivers.
“Jack!” Jack shivered again, but tried to stand up when he heard Elmont’s voice. So close, yet so far...
“E-elmont!” Jack mewed out pathetically. “I-I’m over here!” He called out.
He took a shaky step forward when he heard some rustling in near-by bushes and he was tempted to run and hide, but chose not to, and was extremely pleased when he saw a white wolf jump out of the bushes; his fur damp with water from the pants and dirty with mud.
Jack mewed happily when he saw the wolf and tried to run towards the wolf but ended up tripping on his own paws and he landed in a puddle of mud.
Elmont padded over to him, letting out a breath of relief and he leaned down and licked Jack’s fur. “Oh thank god I found you... Jack, you had me worried sick!” Elmont scolded. “You know not to leave the den without me.” He growled lightly and Jack frowned, letting out a sneeze.
“S-sorry...” he mumbled, yawning.
“Oh well, it doesn’t matter now. We have to get home and get you cleaned up, and more importantly we need to get you warm and get you something to eat.” The white wolf said, picking Jack up by the scruff and he padded back through the bushes and towards the den.
Jack’s eyes closed and he yawned again, curling up slightly in Elmont’s grip, before falling asleep.
Elmont chuckled lightly and he sighed. “Silly kitten...” he murmured. “You’re lucky I care about you, and more importantly, that I love you.”
Jack smiled sadly as he let his gaze fall to Elmont who was currently chatting animatedly with a lady.
It was a few weeks after the ordeal with the giants and Jack had grown more fond of the captain and he developed something along the lines of a crush for him.
Jack took a deep breath before walking up to the older man. "Hey Elmont." He greeted and the captain turned to him with a wide grin.
"Ah, Jackie! How good of you to drop in." Jack blushed slightly at the nickname but smiled anyway.
"Am I interrupting something, Elmont?" Jack asked, hiding the bitterness in his voice as he nodded to the lady beside the captain. Elmont just grinned wider as he looked to her.
He leaned down and whispered something to her and she giggled before turning and walking away.
Jack frowned, his mood plummeting more and he turned back to Elmont. "You know, nevermind. I can see you're busy at the moment." Jack sighed. "We can... talk later on."
"Jack?" Jack gave him a smile and stepped forward, placing a small kiss on the man’s cheek. We're friends, but I wish we were more than that.
"Bye, Elmont." And he walked away, leaving behind a very confused and very upset Elmont.
