It’s interesting to see people wondering what was the point of Jon Snow if he wasn’t the one destined to kill the Night King, you don’t pay attention to this story.
It’s never about the person who is obvious. Never. If that was true then half of the previous character would still be alive. Ned Stark would be the great noble hero but it’s not.
The beauty of seeing Arya killing the Night King is realizing that her entire journey was created for that moment. Her meeting Syrio Forel and learn how to use Niddle and the words to Death, then Jaqen H’ghar and Lady Melissandre who told her they would meet again and when they did, you see that one scene made her remember and realize what she needed to do.
This show is not only about Daenerys, Jon and Cersei and this episode, this glorious episode showed us that in every possible aspect.
Jon is important but in this episode it wasn’t about him only and that idea that only him because he fit some archetype should have save the day is not understanding the show we are all watching.
I think I’ll watch every episode of the new season of GOT on Mondays, so I will save myself from spoilers.
I need to share, I can’t talk with anyone since all my friends are waiting for subtitles so it sucks :’(
I’m spoiling the shit out of this premiere so if you haven’t watch don’t read. For your own enjoyment of the show, don’t read.
That first scene with Arya was amazing, I knew it was her the moment we saw Walder Frey giving his speech about reunited his entire family, and when he said no to his wife, he might be a misogynist but he wouldn’t care that much about his wife drinking the wine. And it became clear the moment he was detailing how he killed the Stark there were no doubts anymore about the person who would finis the job.
I wanted Arya to kill Ed Sheeran’s Lannister soldier group. I don’t hate him, and I have his albums and saw him live once, but still it would have been glorious to see him being murdered in GOT. And also see his fans have strokes, because some of them are way to obnoxious for my own good. And also they are Lannister soldiers, just having families won’t change the fact that they still kill other people who also have families and they are allies with the people who murdered the Starks. Are we supposed to feel sympathy for them? Because I really don’t.
Sansa Stark needs to go. I know so many other women are for her like she is some kind of representation of our entire gender, but I’m not here for it. I really don’t give a rat’s ass about this second rate personification of white feminism. I don’t. The same could be said about Dany but at least she has dragons. That’s weak I know, in the later seasons I just couldn’t with some of Dany’s decisions and the whole entitlement, I’m not here for it too, but I liked her in season 1 & 2 at least, so I can’t exactly hate her easily. I’m more like tolerating her presence. She’s watchable. But Sansa Stark, I just can’t with her. Even when she opens her mouth I want to smack her face, she irritates me, it’s not even like Cersei where I love to hate her, she’s an amazing antagonist, so the BS from her I can take it but Sansa,I just can’t. The worst in that thing, is that I truly believe she might win the Game of Thrones and that annoys even more. Eurr
Euron Greyjoy is sick. He isn’t a normal person. I’m scared of him. But he’s funny. I feel like he’s going to do some pretty awful things, there are no doubts here. He is going to be worse than Ramsey because he’s got all his head, he doesn’t care about anything except power and marry a beautiful woman, that’s his goals. He isn’t normal but at least he’s using his brain to have what he wants, so he might not be that easy to get rid of him.
I believe that he will destroy one part of Dany’s fleet as a gift to Cersei and will marry her. It makes sense.
Lady Mormont is a Queen. If all the Starks dies she should be Queen in the North.
So now, I’m rooting for two people to succeed in this show, and I want them to survive by the end, Jon Snow and Lady Mormont. Jon is almost doomed, there are like 90% of chances that he will be dead during the final season, I still hope the 10% will prevail.
Sam’s shitty job in all the sense of the term disgusted me for a lifetime, but we needed to see the nonsense he was living. At least he understood by the end that he needed to steal the books he needed, that’s a plus and he discovered where the dragon glass was hidden so cooool.
Littlefinger needs to die.
I really enjoyed the moments with Clegane, every part of it was important because we learn that they saw in the fire what’s coming to the North and also we see that Clegane is an awful person but still can do the right thing when he wants to, so he’s not a complete lost cause.
I need Jamie Lannister to grow some common sense and live his sister. That relationship is way to twisted for my own mind.
Cersei is creating a dynasty for nothing, it’s stupid.
Jon Snow better bend is knee to no one, good man but gosh he needs to start to stop with the whole Ned Jr attitude, I liked that he decided to throw some of it in this episode.
This show will always find a way to makes me lost my shit, so I can’t have any expectations. For once it’s not a bad thing because they’ll find a way to exceed them.
