     He had offered to accompany Elsa to the dance without much thought for what would happen once they were there; he had a suspicion that both of them had only forced themselves out tonight for Anna’s sake. But now that they were here, he supposed he could at least try to act like a gentleman. There was no particular reason he craved the elder Ardelle sister’s approval...Not at all.

     “Should I get us some refreshments?” he asked awkwardly, breaking the silence that had naturally fallen between them as they stood around at the outskirts of the festivities.

     “Elsa. Hard to read. Hard to pin down. I don’t know, I...I’ve talked to her plenty times, but I still don’t know much about her besides that she’s a councilwoman, she’s Anna’s sister...and uh, she’s blonde? Pretty smart, I think. But Anna’s smart, too, and she doesn’t make you guess what she’s thinking—I like that about her. I mean, I don’t not like Elsa, but I just really love...Anna’s really...different.”

     He was staring. He didn’t realize he was staring until it was too late, and then he fumbled to explain himself so he wouldn’t look—well, as rude. “I’m sorry, I feel like I recognize you from somewhere. Have we met? No, of course not. If we had met, I would’ve definitely remembered you.” He frowned, then blanched as he realized how he sounded and that he wasn’t making anything better. “That’s not a pick-up line, I swear. I’m sorry, let me start over. I’m Mike.”

“But you’re so unaffected, I really don’t get it” Elsa

     Kristoff looked at Elsa in surprise and shrugged. They’d had several conversations in the time they’d known each other, but always stayed close to either topics of small-talk or Anna; he never expected a prompt like this from her. It necessitated a more personal explanation than a remark about the weather or recent events—Kristoff had to reach inside himself and open up to somebody that he wasn’t one of the two people he felt most comfortable with, which affected him more than Elsa seemed to realize. “I don’t know,” he started. “When you grow up like I did, you develop a thick skin. It’s not that I’m...unaffected, but you just learn to pick the things you really wanna care about.”

It was another weekend and Paige knew she had a couple hours to herself to do whatever she wanted. So, one of the first things she knew she wanted to accomplish was to try out a new job. Of course, she couldn’t really ever have a new job—she was stuck with Hades—but it was always fun to pretend. So, she shape shifted into a random person she saw on the street, and walked into the local bookstore under the guise of being a new trainee. It worked a majority of the time, and Paige did a really good job learning new skills and different things whenever she did this. Hell, just last weekend Paige learned a wonderful new recipe for sourdough bread at the local bakery. 

Although, as all wonderful adventures had to end, Paige could feel her powers start to wane so as always—she had to go out with a bang. Making a scene as she “quit” and decided “this was too much for her to handle.” It was one of her favorite things to do, and doing it at a bookstore—thrilling. With one book flying across the store, sorry F. Scott Fitzgerald, Paige exited the premises and quickly walked around back out of sight to shape shift back into her normal self. With a chuckle playing on her lips, she felt incredible content. That was until she looked up to see a woman in front of her. Shit.

“Hey, you didn’t see a thing,” Paige dragged out, instantly adverting her gaze.
