Shiemi’s Arc

i know a lot of you are pissed that the Shiemi’s arc isn’t happening, but I think we’ve been getting hints of it already

bare with me since i haven’t been active and i don’t know if one of y’all intellectuals has actually done a post about it.

so im fast reading these past few chapters again and something that has been catching my eyes in spite of all of the chaos (shura and hachiro ordeal, lighting and bon’s adventures, yukio angst and shima’s spying spyiness, illuminati advancing and mephisto schemes, etc.) and that’s what will become of shiemi’s arc. 

here we go

so i have here shiemi wanting to become an exorcist but her mom being against it, so shiemi grows some and confronts her mother that she wants to really be an exorcist (she confessed it in front of everyone, she wants it), her mother, after having a nice talk alone with izumo and seeing the change in her daughter, agrees, but before she signs the bloody paper she she throws a curve ball and 

gives us a hint to shiemi arc...

like, this chapter only gave us this much and went to another story line and left us hanging as to what the mother had to say that could change shiemi’s way of thinking.

soon after we get the mephisto and lewin talk about the clones and the creating of host bodies and how satan took over and thus the blue knight yadi yadda, and then, on that same chapter, with the dramatic-you-know-my-arc-is-going-down rain, we have this scene of shiemi after what is believed to be the conversation she had with her mother

she looks spooketh

but like why?

she is reassured and we still dont know anything, but you know what makes me lose it? you really want to know? its the next panels

its fucking amaimon, and im calling it right now, him calling her his bride is not for funs and giggles. I HONESTLY THINK, that whatever the moriayma;s do, it is probably to serve his lineage, or something darker. Im not saying she’s going to marry amaimon, but i know her purpose will be linked with him and she has to carry a burden. 

whatever her mother told her, it struck a cord. She submitted a blank form, and resigned any hope to become an exorcist, a surprise to everyone, yet she’s still the happy shiemi, so nothing could be wrong? 

and im adding the aoex crew’s reactions as to what the reason could be:

who knows? maybe?

adding this one for giggles, rin asking straight up if it has to do with a possible death. its comedy relief, i doubt that could be it, but lets not completely scratch that option out

i love how pressed everyone is in this panel, (the fact that even yuki is involve makes me happy, it makes him seem more his age)

could be? 

...i dont think so, but lets add that one to the list as well

marriage seems to be a running trope, maybe? 

but she confirmed that its not death or going far away

and this following panel is what has me wondering what side she’s on, or what exactly she would be doing in the future if its not fighting alongside the exwires

im really looking forward to more of this

and im sorry for my weird post, its 3 am and i just decided to do this lol but we need to talk more about aoex and why not about shiemi? she’s getting the character development and arc that she deserves!
