Have you ever sewn spandex??? Do you have any tips on how to sew spandex??? Any help pls. -A struggling new cosplayer

I haven’t worked with straight up spandex, but I have worked with some stretch fabric. So while I can’t give you a whole lot of tips, the one key thing I have found is that you need to make sure you have the correct type of needle in your machine. 

Make sure you have a needle that’s meant for spandex/stretch fabric. It will definitely make life easier. Other than that, its going to depend a lot on what you’re making - since that’s going to have an effect on things like how you need to pattern and fit things. My tip there would be to try googling some tutorials.

what's your next con and what cosplays are you bringing?

Katsucon is my next convention, and I can hardly wait.  New costumes that I’m making for it are Shoomlah’s Elsa. 

Other costumes that I’m bringing along are Kusuriuri (Mononoke), Sasha (Attack on Titan), Howl (Howl’s Moving Castle), and Steamstuck! Kanaya. Elsa is the only “For Definite” costume I have planned, everything else is subject to change as to when and if it gets put on :)

14) Loud chewing, of any kind. Like… it just makes me cringe and want to shout at the person gnoshing.

32 is actually too hard to pin down, because its always changing and something that really upsets me one time won’t even phase me another.

33) idk, when someone tells me I’m pretty / handsome (<— if I’m in costume I tend to get the latter)

44) uh… random fact… I adore any sort of mythology or lore involving the Fae and collect all kinds of books about them.

hello friend. obviously youve heard of the fancy tier stuff, since you do jade so fabulously, so i was wondering, do you have a fan troll/fan kid, and if so, would you make fancy designs for them?

Hello! I don’t actually have any fan trolls / kids. I do, however, love designing / making fancy costumes (its part of why I got into Elizabethan costuming for the SCA). So if I had a fan kid/troll, yeah I’d design fancy designs for them. If someone else asked me to design a fancy outfit for their kid, I’d probably do it too, as long as I wasn’t swamped with deadline-projects.
