Just Another Shift || Cam&&Sam
Samuel started the end of the night off with a run like he always did. He utilized the time to not only connect with the wolf within himself as he ran, but also to work through anything that troubled his mind from the day prior. As the sun set on the City he returned to his apartment and began to get ready for the night shift he had ahead of him. Sam never was bothered by the job he had at Strange Brew, in fact it allowed him to have access to many faces he probably would have never passed in the streets or behind an office desk. Granted that he loved his job that didn’t mean it wasn’t trying at times. With that in mind he always prepared himself for anything to come his way on a nightly basis.
Stokes managed to arrive to work early so he remained in his car for some of time before heading in to see who was already there. On his way in the wolf passed by the usual staff he worked with and made small talk with a few of them before he reached the back doors to where the employee lockers were. Setting his things in his locker before Samuel even clocked in allowed him some extra time to head back to the bar area and speak with some of the other supernaturals that he worked with. It wasn’t uncommon for him to mingle, since he found opportunities in every connection he made.
It wasn’t until Sam headed towards the bar that he caught her scent, perhaps he hadn’t focused on it hard enough before, however now that he was closer there was no mistaking it. It would have been a lie to say that Cameron hadn’t still had an affect on him after all they had been through, though his face never gave way to what was going on behind his unwavering gaze. If he was raised to be anything, it was a gentleman and that was something he held true to even as a werewolf now. His southern roots ran deep despite living in the city for some time now, and because of that he was always civil with her. “You think it will be busy tonight?” he asked Cameron as he slid into one of the bar stools in front of the counter. His light brown eyes focused on her as he waited for a response, his hand folding before him as he rested his elbow on the counter. With a causal shrug of his shoulder he added, “With this Festival goin’ on and all.”
