Hagen-Renaker Horse, Elzac Pottery Elephant, Precious Moments - at the Antique Emporium of New Harmony, Indiana
This Elzac bunny brooch found it’s way into my collection this week. I am always a tad nervous about wearing pieces like this, with their curved perspex pieces and ceramic bodies, but I love them. I’ve had the fish in my collection for a while now.
Today's outfit includes this Vivien of Holloway dress and cardigan, and this fabulous Elzac fish brooch... www.vivienofholloway.com
Look at that yellow eyeshadow! Vintage Elzac of Hollywood green pegasus brooch
Vintage Elzac of Hollywood elephant poor thing is missing her tail but somehow kept her original sticker!
It arrived!!! The Elzac ceramic and lucite fish brooch of dreams... I found this on eBay recently, and managed to convince the seller to ship to the UK. I'd seen a similar one (in different colours) at an antique fair, but it was too expensive. This one was almost half the price. It's gorgeous! The lucite is curved in such a beautiful way, and I love the look of it so much. I don't know much about Elzac, the company who made this, but plan to read up on them and learn more.
I fell in love with this vintage ceramic and lucite Elzac fish brooch at the Pop Up Vintage Fair and Antiques and Collectors Fair at Alexandra Palace a few weeks ago. It was £98, and just too much money for me at the moment. However, I recently found this blue and yellow version online for less than half that price. The dealer agreed to ship to the UK, and my boyfriend talked me into buying it, despite me not really having the money. I hope it arrives OK! It's so pretty. I don't know much about Elzac, so have no idea what to look for or how to identify their designs, I just adore the shape of this brooch. I can't wait to wear it.
This Elzac ceramic and lucite fish brooch was the stuff of dreams, but at £98, too expensive for a day when I was supposed to be buying Christmas gifts for other people...
