I knew my writing wasn't half bad courtesy of my unparalleled grades in English and writing but also. I was just consuming so much fanfiction on the daily I finally caved and open a doc. ill always remember the first paragraph I wrote, re-writing the same thing over and over without a plan bc I just wanted to write some mingyu fluff!!!

im gonna disappoint you on this one, I dont use playlists sfjkngk I only make them for fics im writing, and ill listen if im having a hard time getting into the zone. however, I do have a playlist of older music, but its not very interesting, just music that came out pre-2000s lol

im allergic to eggs?? not mixed into things like cake and stuff, but having it in its natural form (?) (omelettes, fried, boiled, poached etc) gives me the WORST pain. I used to just throw up as a kid but ive gotten better at Not Doing That lol. also coconut but I cant be sure anymore bc I haven't had any in a hot minute

I know this might not be for everyone, but personally, the saying that "everything happens for a reason" really pulled me out of some of the worst slumps ive had. helped me get thru alot of really shit things in life, and its ended up being true every single time!! having the ability to understand that you just cant see the results of it rn takes time but it's made my life so much easier
🌿 ⇢ give some advice on writer's block and low creativity
consume content!!! if I cant write, I read a book or a fic. if I cant draw or paint, ill scroll through reels packed with artists I love doing what they do best. consuming more of the content I also create has always been the biggest motivator. ill be reading a book and suddenly be grasped by the urge to write something, or ill watch someone paint with oils and feel the urge to get out my paints that've been rotting in my cart LMAO

I appreciate any comment, but honestly the ones that specify like. an extremely specific detail always makes me jump up and down for some reason. just people quoting things in general it gets me so excited I wanna sit down and nerd out with them about the thought process and whatnot, even more when its a paragraph I worked really hard on lol
🍅 ⇢ give yourself some constructive criticism on your own writing
I like this one hmmmm. I definitely want to improve my dialogue, I get so caught up in trying to sound natural that I sometimes forget I have the freedom to be wittier. I also wanna work on vocabulary, I find myself trying to find words for a very specific feeling I cant describe a lot more lately, so I think working on that could help me expand my descriptions more.
ive been trying to delve into more complex plots and characters (haven't been doing it alot recently as ive been part of so many collabs) so I have future projects that are about to be BIG that I want to really sit down and map out properly. every big project I make has more and more forethought put into it than the last and I really wanna end up with plots that im proud of, so I definitely want to look into how published authors work on their books too

first or third person pronouns IM SORRY but im here for self insert delulu rot and that's no shade to people who write like this, but I need to be in that scene or im clicking off lol
this is so weirdly specific but writings that dont have metaphors or language devices of that sort kind of make me feel like im reading an instruction manual. I know some people prefer writings like that but I cant seem to get into them rip
