Who are your top 6 favourite writers here on tumblr and why are they your fave?
well good morning to you too anon!! (or evening, afternoon— whichever time frame you are in rn LMAO) it’s been a while since i’ve read fics due to my impatient nature (i’ve been more into social media au’s lately) they are not necessarily my top six but essentially writers i adore and look up to!
obviously all four writers in my chaotic gc will always and forever be immaculate in my heart among other mutuals of mine, but i think it’s only fair if i talk about other writers i don’t talk about often (: just note that i mostly read jaehyun-centric fics LOL however, feel free to also explore through my fic recs tag and browse through them too!

@jungcity — nyx!! one of my all-time favorite fic writers that i still follow even after being inactive <3 her two series love, eternal and bane of the devil are so intricately plotted out that i forget that i’m not reading an award-winning novel at times 🤧 once in a while i think about her characters asking myself how they’re doing sometimes bc i’ve developed an attachment to them somehow LOL that’s how you know her stories are top-tier 💕
@hannie-dul-set — allex!! oh goodness where should i start with her AHAHA her storytelling is so?? comforting?? like idk man i love the way she weaves through her words and formulates them into her stories that reading them carries me into a journey to an everlasting fairytale that i never want to end. i highly recommend a fool’s game and her social media au gold painted canvas if you’re looking for a good time ☺️☺️
@smileysuh — nova!! yo she’s a killer writer who busted her ass left and right posting fics almost every week that i was worried if she was getting enough sleep or not LOL. i’ve read two of her fics so far: heat and valentinejae97 and they are just— muah. a delectable dessert molded and carved to perfection, topped with sweet fruits and tart syrups that complements all the iridescent things in love 💕 in the rare event that i want to go back and reread fics, she’s one of the authors that come to mind 😌😌
@nctream — desirée!! her two fics, healing and 1-800-poet, are to LIVE FOR omg both of them always leave me feeling super fuzzy and warm that reading them feels like a hot chocolate on a wintery evening by the fireplace with holiday lights brightening the living room as the snowflakes outside your apartment drifts down from heaven. sounds endearing, doesn’t it? well her fics are just as wonderful, if not ethereal 🤧
@domjaehyun — jewel!! ngl i’m kind of scared to type this out but! this has to be said bc she needs to hear this: i don’t think there’s enough words in the world to express how grateful i am to see the amount of content she’s released for all of us to read. all of the time and patience she has dedicated into her works clearly shines bright in between her lines that we take for granted of her hard work. one of my fave fics from her is daunting, and idk how much feedback she’s gotten from it in her notifs, but i don’t see enough people flooding her inbox about it bc it was such a joy to read 💕
@neovisioned — han!! yo if there is one writer on nctblr that i aspire to be, it would be miss han right here because holy hell, her way of story telling never fails to put me at awe. one of my all-time fave fic from her is cupid victorious because she flawlessly executed angels au and the rawness of her characters makes her fictional character feel real, as if she’s telling the story from her very own set of eyes. this carries onto my other favorite fic of hers, profane. while it is essentially based on a poem, she effortlessly crafted her own story from the verses that could only make the gods weep at her doorstep 💕

oooo yes i have a handful that i can remember from the top of my head! pls keep in mind that i haven’t read much lately bc of life but a lot of the stories i read are jaehyun-centric, but there are some that are not so they will be mentioned below the cut!
@jungcity — both of her jaehyun series (‘love, eternal’ and ‘bane of the devil’) are to DIE FOR omg the plot line is so well-crafted and the characters are so developed that she should be paid for her works, no joke.
@sehunniepotwrites — she is the queen of hanahaki! au’s so if that’s the slowburn and angst you are looking for, she is the one. her social media! au (‘i like me better (when i’m with you)’) is really cute! serotonin boost cute! she also has a johnny fic (‘all my loving for you’) that will send you into one hell of a rollercoaster ride and, listen, it will hurt, BUT IT’S A GOOD TYPE OF HURT. get the tissues ready, i’m not kidding.
@smoll-tangerine — omgomg okay so her fics are LONG long like, novel-length long, so if you’re gonna read her works then expect to spend a good amount of time reading her works bc it’s SO WORTH IT. i’ve read only two of her works so far (‘once again’ and ‘cerca trova’) with the latter putting me in an existential crisis HAHAHA only bc it has a slice of life genre and it made me question my own life PFFT i’ve been meaning to read more of her works but.. i’m not emotionally ready to yet based on the synopsis she provided (but i’m looking forward to her new fic series, ‘wanted for error’!)
@jaedore — y’all let me put you on here real quick, her fic series (‘breaking bonds’) will put you through so many different types of emotions and make you so attached to the characters that i experienced withdrawals LMFAO like i was actually attached to some of the side characters??? like what??? i started questioning like “damn i wonder how they’re doing rn.” that’s how you know that shit good.
@ppangjae — ah yes, the soulmate! au queen. she is the one who actually made me start liking soulmate! au’s bc tbh i hated it when i first started reading fics LMFAOO. but her fics are SO good like, big brain energy good. i think my fave from hers is her first fic (‘ordinary people’) bc it’s that good type of friends to lovers! au hehe.
@nctsworld — what’s funny is that my friend sent me a fic of hers (‘meet me at the borderline’) that made fun of his flat ass and i was like “deadass??” and i read it and IT ACTUALLY DID AKJFKLFK but a lot of her works are really good! she has multiple of members she’s written for so uwu
@jenojam — single father! jaehyun?? preschool teacher! yn??? INSTANTLY WHIPPED omg i sometimes go back to read her works (‘preschool series’) whenever i’m open for soft jaehyun hours so so cute <3

@neocitybynight — so she’s more of an nct dream author but she has written for other units. we talk to each other about plotlines and stuff but her recent jeno fic (‘of captains and college boys’) is SUPER great omg her mind is amazing y’all have no idea (and look forward to her lucas fic too!)

anyways, back to the point. first off, thank you so much for loving my theme! took me hours of editing to do in the asscrack o’morning bc i’m sort of a perfectionist. going back and forth from true blue theme palette to dark mode palette just to see if your headers are legible enough for all users can certainly take a lot of time to do, and constantly revising bc some things aren’t to your certain standards— don’t you hate it when you get so caught on something that you lose hours of sleep that you desperately need for the next day in order to properly function? i know i do. buuuut, it is what it is.
since it bothers you so much, i’ll answer your question: no i wasn’t copying her. i wasn’t trying to copy anyone’s theme as a matter of fact?? idk how long you have been following me or if you’ve noticed before but i based my themes around my pfp. whenever i see a picture i like, usually a female kpop idol, i would save it for future use whenever i want to change my theme, and my pfp right now is f(x)’s victoria. isn’t she gorgeous? i love her.
