It’s not everyday I get to work on an actual living body. ‘Archie’, a local stranger who claimed to be a mad scientist, if he could even be called as scientist, had called me up while I was having a lovely dinner with my family, screaming about his ‘experiment’ and ‘test subject’ and that something ‘went wrong’.

It made sense to bring the police with me. We arrived at ‘Archie’s’ ‘home’ and found a…

Well, we found something. It was a body, no doubt about it, but we couldn’t determine the age, sex or ethnicity of it. It was dark and pale at the same time, fat and thin… If I didn’t know any better, I’d say ‘Archie’ murdered and ‘tinkered’ with the body. I’d just lifted it’s arm when it let out loud, muffled screams. It was at that moment that I only managed to note that all the external orifaces, mouth, nostrils, ears, eyes and other more intimate places, were all sealed up. It stopped screaming the moment I let go.

It turned out that ‘Archie’ called us to get rid of it. ‘Archie’ was arrested and now, here I am, doing my best to move this screaming sack of nothing to my car. I’ve dealt with all sorts of strange things in my life, but cutting opened a screaming mass with no holes has got to be a first.

I made incisions into the body, only for it seal back up as soon as I was done, as if I’d never made them.

I’d go home to my wife, but there’s something oddly compelling about this thing that has my constant attention.

The scene was interesting. It was the normal, bog-standard elevator. Ugly carpet, annoying music, the horrible stench of piss. Although the last one could be put down to the puddle in the corner opposite the body. Cause of death easily identifiable, the dumb bastard drank himself to death after somehow getting stuck in a working elevator.

How he managed to do that in thirty seconds or less is another matter entirely.

It should at least display if you look at it from my blog’s main page.  (I’ve noticed that happens sometimes, though not always, with videos I embed -- shows up if looking at post from my blog’s main page, but not if looking at it via feed.)  Not sure how to resolve that.

But that’s why I put in the second link.

I’ve also added the button to the front page of my blog, and that appears to show up fine.

First, create your page by clicking “add a page” in the sidebar of your customization layout. After you name it and put in all the text you want, you can add links.

Say, for instance, I want to make a page for my Harry fanfic, Fan (funny enough, I don’t actually have one yet. no time like the present!). 

First, you create the page.

Next, you add in the text (e.g. title) of the link(s).

Then, copy the url of the page you want to link to. In this case, I will start with chapter one of Fan.

Once you have that copied, go back to your fanfic page, highlight the text you want to add a link to, and click the button that looks like a chain (I put a red box around it).

When you click on that button, a little box will pop down that has a space titled “Link URL.” All you have to do to complete your link is paste the URL you copied before into that box and click “insert link.”

(if you’d like your link to open in a new window, just check that box that indicates so and kabam!)

Your linked text will have a line underneath it identifying it as a link.

Then you just repeat the process until all of your links are “embedded” in your text!
