@ zahgurim He's clearly astute and calculating in his public persona. There's no fire he can't manage - both literally and figuratively! But he's a neoliberal to the marrow of his bones, and that's part of the problem we leftists face: the fact that the recession seems to have made little dent in that consensus.

There was this preview for an upcoming film called The Butler. It looks syrupy and horrible (of course Oprah is in it) and went out of it's way to praise JFK and trash the Black Panther Party. My guess is it's going to be a pretty rotten omelet by combining both those elements.
