Oh hey! What have I been busy doing lately? Making some edits for some special, meaningful people in my life I was fortunate to have met on here! Which also included a lot of snooping researching on their blogs =p I honestly had a lot of fun making these, even if I was stressing myself out making them perfect and am still unsure if I’m 100% happy with them all, but then maybe I just need to make some more some time… 😉

Ember Lee for @emberkyrlee! I know music is a big part of your MC’s and your own life so I of course included some sheet music to reference her/your love of singing and her brother’s walkman which I know is an important item to her. I love your MC’s sort of take on life, being the change she wants to see, and I’m also now sort of obsessed with this style of hat! And the dragon isn’t just because of our mutual love of Charlie =p but also for her love of Magizoology and the peace and calmness fire brings her. Meanwhile, I did some more research on your blog and I just loved the story of Ember and Jacob catching fireflies so I had to include that moment because I don’t know, I just really loved it! 

I’m really glad I got to meet you through this fandom and I love talking to you and learning how much we have in common and about our similarities, more than just the connection to the PNW. 😜 I am truly glad to have you as a friend. 💞

As the two women talked, Olive and Ember babbled and ate in the background.

“After so many years, Mother. What is it that has you running here? No longer think I am a foolish, selfish daughter?” Mabel recognized her tone was a bit harsh, this was her mother after all. However, the sting of her mother’s opinions had stuck with her all this time, and her last letter hadn’t been that long ago.

“Please, Mabel. You must understand my position, I do love you, but this is not the matter I intended to discuss. It’s your father Mabel,” Her mother’s voice faltered a moment and she began again. “He’s not been well this winter, sick with a fever beginning again and again...I’m here to let you know that he has passed.

I saw the size difference between a Golden Eagle and an American Kestrel (which is my MC’s animagus form) and realized she was small enough to land on Talbott’s animagus-form’s head. I was told that this NEEDED to be drawn, so here it is!

I may have used almost all my gems to do it, but I got the outfit!

Including the hat! It’s not exactly the hat I always imagine her wearing, but it’s the right style at least. Which is why I was so determined to win the damn thing. XD

Inspired by @secretdazedragon‘s Animagus Outfit post

Funny enough, her MC and mine have the same animagus form, the American Kestrel.

I looked at the kestrel form I drew recently and thought “Yknow, I think my girl’d really rock a tailcoat.” Rarely ever happy with how my human drawings turn out, but I am quite satisfied with the outfit. Kinda feels a little steampunk.

O.W.L. Results

One of the few things I do still have access to (after the Big Techno-Fail) is my final O.W.L. results.

Wasn’t sure if I’d get an O or E on Transfiguration, but glad I managed an O. (I suck at Evanesco)

Pretty much expected to not get an O in DADA after the practical exam. 

I DID finally choose, for certain, what I want to do. And I can continue on to study N.E.W.T. level classes for it. (And can still change my mind later, I think.)

I saw this going around, and I did the Jacob one before. So I felt like doing one for my MC too!

Rules

Meet Ember Anna Maria Lee

A lot who try for what many think is more than they can handle (occasionally they do), or just have a lot on their plate.

Judy Hopps

She’s not particularly known for being patient. She can have a tendency to act impulsively, though its almost always with good intentions. She tries to see the best in people, though even she has moments where she’s judgmental. But she usually tries to do better when she realizes it (or is called on it).

Kitty “Shadowcat” Pryde

Somehow manages to have good grades, despite her extracurricular activities. Eager to prove herself, and quick to learn. Can be empathetic and tries to hold to her beliefs, regardless of what happens. She does have a temper, however, and combined with her young age, it can get her into a lot of trouble.

13th Doctor

In some ways, she will always know who she is at her very core.  She will always want to help people, she will always believe in justice, and she will always understand that some things require an uncomfortable balance to be fair. But in others, she’s still really learning who she is. Awkward, anxious, and often stressed. Yet it never stops her from enjoying even scary experiences as something new and amazing.

Buffy Summers

For all that she saves lives, for all that her loved ones depend on her, for the very real threat to her life, she’s still a teenage girl. Still deals with her home life, with her parents splitting up, with drama and hormones. Some days she just desperately wishes she COULD have a normal life (as normal as it gets in the Wizarding World), but she knows that while its a choice she technically could make, its really a non-option in her mind. And she likes to say “Bite Me” a lot when annoyed.

Usagi Tsukino

Lets see, we’ve covered teenage girl, tired hero, sense of wonder, impatient, impulsive, temper... Did I mention her occasional moments of terrible memory or just plain thoughtlessness? Cause she has them. Her brain kind of has trouble keeping up with itself sometimes. And boy is she utterly useless right when she wakes up or when she’s fallen head over heals for somebody.

Princess Anna

She loves her older sibling, they were always so close. But then as they got older, he grew distant and then he was just gone from her life. She misses him terribly, since he was basically her best friend. She wants desperately to get to the bottom of what’s happened to him and to be a part of each other’s lives again. And she’s a terrible romantic, with the biggest chocolate problem ever.

Daria Morgendorffer

While she doesn’t have the same apathetic approach to life, she does share Daria’s dark and sarcastic humor. While she’s smart enough to keep it to herself a lot, she can’t always help herself but to be snarky. (And even when she does keep it to herself, her inner voice is just as sarcastic) While more optimistic, she does grow just a little more cynical each year. Well-earned paranoia will do that to a person.
