“I never understand you actor newbies. Always acting like this is the pinnacle, like the best thing you could ever do is star in a movie or some shit. Like little puppies chasing their tails. More to life than Hollywood parties, there’s a life beyond the camera that you’re ready to sell away for it,” Ember says breathing in the smoke from his cigarette. “Fucking crazy,” he shakes his head. Despite being a child actor turned adult actor himself, he’s always had little patience to does wound up in the Hollywood world.

Ember wandered the dark street, blood shot eyes squinting under the ache caused by the hover street lights. This high had hit him hard, it’d been the first time he’d indulged in awhile. He always tried to stop when he was filming movies, so his tolerance had shifted, but he hadn’t exactly accounted for it. Ember clutched the wall of a building taking in shaking breaths before shoving himself forward.

Tonight had been a slip up, hurt by the rejection of getting to play at the club. His dream had always been music but all anyone ever wanted him to do was act. Ember’s vision blurred in the dark before he knocked into another body on the street, hands reaching out and clutching to the other body tightly to keep himself standing. “Sor...sorry,” Ember whispers looking up at the other, “just a little out of it I suppose.”
