"Aha! You're smiling so you know what that means? I have succeeded in what I sent out to do," Cory said before hopping down off the railing with a bright smile on his face. It wasn't often that he actually had days off where he was up to doing something. His mind was usually always stuck in the ER and the events that happened there. "Well, my first order of business as King is to take you skating at that roller rink - I remember you saying something about you loved to do it but you haven't done it since you were a kid? And I haven't skated since rollerblades went out of style so you might get to see me in the rare form of not having any control over how my body reacts to things. Then we're going to that street fair and getting tacos - and cotton candy. And you can't tell me no because well, King right here Ams."

marcus knew he had no business staying the night. the only way they could fuck and keep their friendship was if they didn’t do things like this. he understood that. but their sheets were a hell of a lot softer than his own and well...they had food to cook in the morning and he didn’t. besides...when had marcus ever been accustomed to following rules? he leaned over close to the person he shared a bed with, making sure they were still asleep before opening his mouth and yelling, “RISE AND SHINE CUPCAKE” directly into their ear before bursting into a fit of laughs at their reaction.

Hyeon felt a familiar pair of arms snake around his neck and a familiar face nuzzling him. The boy sighed and rolled his eyes as he tried to turn his head to see her. “Ah, you want to cuddle now, right? After scaring the heck out of me earlier?” He tried to sound serious but a small laugh escaped at the end of the phrase. He could never stay mad at Evie, at least not for long.

"Eventually I'll get these colored in," Mercy shrugged, running a finger over a couple of the tattoos he had that weren't finished - which were pretty much all of them. "Why? Not digging the plain and simple look?" He arched a brow and then shrugged. "When I find a rich sugar daddy then I'll get em done. Now onto more important things. What's going on with you? Why did you want to meet? Please tell me you didn't run off and marry some rando while drunk in Vegas."

Immediately after Destiny said those words, she was already regretting it. The unlife hadn't treated her any better than the life she had when she was alive and she had been a solitary creature for so long that she didn't feel she deserved to have friendships or anything resembling any form of a relationship.

"Because you're the only person who doesn't try to change me." She said matter of factly with a shrug. "You stood me up, it's not like I'm some foolish human who's feelings get hurt. I've done the same to you so we're even in that regard." She didn't say anything about what it said about him but allowed him to finish what he was saying. "Mhm...you're welcome. This is weird. We don't do emotions. Why are we doing emotions right now?"

It probably wouldn't be a huge shock to Caiden if he realized that she had purposely made sure they took the extra time at the diner miles back so she could eat. She was doing it incredibly slow despite his pleas to hurry the hell up so they could go. Now that they were inside the grocery store and it was pouring out, she just gave a little grin over at him. "Okay, Grumpy Bear, turn that frown upside down. It's not so bad! There's a hotel right next door too so if worse comes to worse, we'll run over and get a room. Totally not the end of the world and isn't it beautiful? The sound of the rain and the flashes of lightning? I can't get you out there to dance in the rain though can I?" She gave a hopeful look, biting her lip.
