Hi there! I just found your blog and I wanted to say thanks. I really enjoy this show, especially the relationships between Caroline and her mother, Caroline and Gillian, and, of course, Caroline and Kate. It's just so nice to see characters my age, or thereabouts, and older characters, and watch their lives unfold. It's also just so great to see 'real' looking actors, of all ages! Love that about so many British shows. Anyway, love the blog. Thanks again!
It really is a fantastic show. Both the writing and the acting is phenomenal, and the fact that everything is so real and they're all older just adds to that even more. It makes everything so much more interesting! With younger characters, there's so much life left for them to live, which I suppose is why there are so many shows that focus on teenage characters or characters in their early twenties. But with older characters, there's so much more life lived and so much left to live, that it's just common sense that it makes great television. The fact that it's so character driven too, rather than having new dramas and major storylines every week, just adds to it even more.
But as I've said before, I enjoy running this blog a lot, so there's nothing to thank me for. I'm just thankful for everybody else that has come along to love the show here too :)
