“well, well, what do we have here?”
She stiffened.
Instinctively, she stiffened.
Like a rabbit caught in the sights of a wolf; deciding whether to fight or run. Flesh bare before him as she stood with her back to the door, the shirt she’d been wearing pulled over her head and now dangling from her fingertips. There he stood, leaning against the door frame of her bedroom, dark eyes setting their predatory sights on her.
And for a moment she didn’t move, letting his gaze skate along the frame of her silhouette as flaxen hair tumbled along her shoulders and back. And then that moment was over.
Reaching for the largest wrench on her desk, one arm wrapped around her chest to hide it from his view before she swung at him; face red as she screamed.
“GET OUT!”
