Polar bear’s Sky. / work in progress / 2019 / HigiJung _ 작년 6월의 일이다. 새로운 자수 도구를 손에 쥔 날, 나는 갑자기 백곰을 그리기 시작했다. 전혀 생각지 못한 드로잉 라인이 생겨 나면서 눈물을 흘리는 백곰, 헤엄을 치는 백곰, 걸어가는 백곰이 천 위에 그려졌다. 나는 백곰이 하늘에서 수영을 하는 모습을 상상했다. 그들은 하늘의 부드러운 구름, 깨끗한 공기, 밝은 색을 사랑한다. 요즘 서울 하늘은 미세먼지 때문에 맑지 않다. 곧 다른 나라의 하늘도 환경 오염때문에 회색 빛으로 변할 것 겉다. 우리는 일년 중 파란 하늘은 몇 개월 밖에 볼 수 없다. 어린시절 자주 보았던 푸른 하늘이 그립다. 백곰이 그들의 놀이터에서 오래 머물길 바란다. 우리는 우리의 하늘을 지켜내야만 한다. It happened June last year. I got a new embroidery tool, and I spontaneously drew polar bears. The drawing lines that I have never planned created a weeping polar bear, swimming polar bear, and a walking polar bear on my fabrics. I imagined a polar bear swimming in the sky, and they loved soft clouds, fresh air and bright colors. The air pollution in Seoul is getting worse recently because of the micro-dust. I think the worldwide pollution will make this happen in other countries too, making the sky turn grey. Now people in Seoul are able to see the blue sky only few months in a year. I miss the clear sky that I had seen often when I was little. I wish the polar bears can stay in their own space for long.
