Transfer Job
It took me a while to sort this one out, but some folks in a couple of Facebook groups helped me lock it down.
A Conrail transfer job is seen here at the north end of the L&N’s massive Decoursey Yard, south of Covington, Kentucky. The train is most likely headed for the former Penn Central yard in Sharonville, Ohio, on the other side of Cincinnati. That lead unit is an SD9 built for the Pennsylvania Railroad in December of 1957.
