Ok but I really like the idea of Lars and Emerald being rivals even after the beginning of Era 3. There’s way less danger, and more romantic tension between them. Lars spends the next few decades in space with the Off Colors and they always run into her.
And throughout those several decades, he sees Sadie and Shep get married and grow old, and realizes he’s hasn’t grown old, that he looks as young as he was was when he died.
But no matter what, he’s not going to spend his extended life alone. He’s still going to have the Off Colors, Stevonnie, all the Gems in Little Homeworld, and Emerald.
Maybe he decides to go back to Earth and retire in Beach City, and when he does, he asks Emerald to go with him. Their rivalry has turned into something more, and they decide to get married.
I dunno, it’s just something I like to think about.
