Koichi and Raiden are very protective of Emi. Between the two of them and their father, a lot of people joke that it’s a miracle that she ever dates, since anyone who wants to be her boyfriend/girlfriend would have to deal with meeting the standards of those three.
As for the age difference...there’s about eight years between Koichi and Raiden, and five years between Raiden and Emi. So, from Koichi to Emi, there’s about a 13 year age difference.

I had to look it up, but yes, Joey King does have a role in the movie Kissing Booth. As for her boyfriend’s faceclaim being Noah from that same movie...I actually didn’t have a love interest in mind for Emi, so I have no problem with that.
Headcanon: Like her mother and her Uncle Hiro, Emi has a specific item that she’s been attached to since she was an infant. In her case, this item is a stuffed cat that was given to her for her first birthday.
