On Hamephorash/Saintly/Goetia drama, new alliances and even more drama
emily says, ' molly and I moving into the hotel to help with the divorce feud fall out is no accident. when pentious first came to heaven, he became under the Hamephorash ( my family)'s care. pentious is overwhelmed at first yet he gets on better, especially with his new friends' help ( desdemona, st peter, abel, molly, me, and several others in heaven ). the Hamephorash and goetias may have a delicate peace treaty after the first heaven hell war for the sake of the cosmos, but stella's sheer cruelty nearly broke the cosmos in the feud. stella even tried to hurt Via the cosmic linchpin, and now the hotel has the backing of saints, tarantellas and goetias. even the Hamephorash wouldn't wish what stella did to the goetias on our worst foes, and with lute's tyranny and the vees trying to attack heaven and the Hotel, the Hamephorash, saints and goetias agreed to have me and molly move into the hotel to also stall the vees' threats, and my mom, sera, told me that she's protecting me from lute. my mom calculated all the odds and agreed on des' suggestion to send me and molly to the hotel. meeting the goetias for the first time is a little nerve wracking at first - yet I am kind to them and they are kind to me in return. Falling in love and getting with Sal is the unexpected part - we are 2 souls who been through so much yet fate had us drawn to each other. I seen how the goetias are so paranoid over Via, and I reminded them that Via is now a diplomatic icon and astronomer, and she just needed extra support. Via is truly braver than most people around her - unlike Stella, Via still strives to be kind despite the trauma. We also arranged for pentious and cherri to revive contact and visit each other sometimes in purgatory, and I still keep in contact with my heaven friends and family. '
(Chuckles softly) "So, Pentious, huh? Still can't believe the ol' snake-in-the-suit actually pulled it off. Heard he's hangin' out with a bunch of halos now. Figures. The guy was always trying to be something he wasn't. Now he's... well, he's just being himself, I guess. Must be weird for him, not having to worry about blowing stuff up all the time. But good for him. Really. He earned it."
(Scoffs, taking a long drink) "Yeah, the nerd's in heaven. Get this: he's apparently buddies with some historical figures and, get this, actual saints. That's what Emily told Angel. Can you believe that? The guy who spent most of his afterlife building ridiculous contraptions is now... what, playing chess with some old philosopher dude? Or maybe discussing astronomy with some ancient princess-turned-demon-slayer? It's absurd. Still... kinda makes ya feel a little somethin', ya know? Like maybe there's hope for the rest of us."
(Grins, lighting a smoke) "Pentious? The guy's probably teachin' 'em how to build bombs with holy water and glitter. 'Course, they'd be, like, happy bombs, right? Exploding with rainbows and sparkles and whatever.
"Remember that one time, he tried to impress me with that giant steam-powered mechanical spider? Ended up crashing through a wall and almost crushed all of us. Now he's probably charming some celestial beings with his nerdy intellect. I can just picture him now, in some grand heavenly library, surrounded by scrolls and books, just geeking out. And you know what? He deserves it. It's a nice thought, knowing he's finally getting the recognition he always wanted. Just... in a different zip code."
"He's probably got a pet chicken-snake now. Or an entire army of egg boys that are, like, super buff and have wings. A celestial Egg Boi army. I can't even. I'll miss the idiot, honestly. But seeing him with his new pals and hearing all about them.. it's a good feeling. Like, damn, maybe we didn't all fuck up that bad. Maybe there's a chance, even for us. It's a stupid, sappy thought, but I'll allow it. Just don't tell anyone I said that."
"So, Pentious and I... we got a deal, see? We get to visit sometimes. He's still my partner in crime, even if the crimes are, like, sharing a smoothie or something. We talk about what's going on down here, he tells me about the latest heavenly gossip. It's weird, but it's good. He's still the same Pentious, just... cleaner. And with better friends, I guess. He's got that Desdemona girl, and Abel, and some others. Sounds like a whole new crew. He's still our snakey boy, though. Always will be."
"Who'd have thought, huh? The guy who constantly got his ass kicked by Cherri and I is now a legitimate saint-adjacent figure. The irony isn't lost on me. Still, it's nice knowing that someone made it out. Gives you a little bit of... what's that thing called? Oh yeah. Hope. I don't need it, but it's a nice thought for everyone else. Especially for the little guy. The little snakey guy."
"He's probably forgotten all about us. And that's fine. He's in a better place. But I'll always remember the dumbass. Always. And maybe, just maybe, I'll see him again someday. Probably not, but... you never know. Not with this crazy place."
"He's not forgetting us. He's just... busy. With his new life, his new friends, his new... everything. But we're still his friends, too. Just... in a different way. He's our little angel now. And I'm proud of him. He deserves all the good things. Even if those good things include saints and... no more explosions."
"Yeah... no more explosions. For now, anyway. But a guy can dream, right?"
Here are quotes from the headcanon, spoken from the perspectives of Angel Dust, Molly, and Salvatore (Arackniss), reflecting on the romance between Emily and Sal.
"So Sal finds his heavenly Angel, huh? Guess he gets the last laugh after all. My brother, the 'goth preppy student' from Princeton, and his literal Angel. Funny how life and death work out like that. I used to bust his chops for being so serious all the time, but seeing him with Emily... he actually smiles. Like, a real one. The kind he hasn't had since... well, since before. He deserves that. We all deserve some happiness, even after all the crap we've been through. It's not the kind of romance you see in the movies, with all the big, showy gestures. It's in the quiet moments—the way he listens to her, the way she makes him laugh. That's the real stuff, you know? It's the kind of thing that makes all the chaos worth it."
"I knew Sal was different the second he told me about Emily. He was so... gentle when he spoke about her. My stoic, no-nonsense big brother was completely smitten. He told me how she reminded him that kindness wasn't a weakness, that his smarts and strength were for more than just survival. When I met her, I just knew. She has this pure light that just draws you in, and she saw the best parts of my brother—the parts we always knew were there, buried under all the trauma and ambition. It's like they're two puzzle pieces that finally found their match. She brings out his softness, and he gives her a safe space in this crazy new world. It's a beautiful thing to watch them together. All of us siblings, we're all finding our peace now, but seeing Sal so happy with Emily feels like the greatest victory of all
"For years, my focus was on survival. On proving myself. I built a reputation on being 'the Italian start-up,' always on guard. But Emily... she was completely unexpected. She saw through all the posturing and saw me for who I truly was. She reminded me of the debates I used to love, the pure satisfaction of intellectual sparring, but with a compassionate twist. There's a strength to her kindness that I've never encountered before. Our worlds were so different, a Carnegie Hill mobster and a Heaven-born angel, but we were drawn to each other by something deeper. With her, the paranoia and old rivalries melt away. She trusts me, completely, and that's the most powerful thing anyone has ever given me. She's my harbor in a storm, a quiet place where I can just be myself, without the armor. When we're together, nothing else in Heaven or Hell matters. It's just us."
some headcanon quotes from Hell citizens discussing the Goetia family's paranoia surrounding Via:
Casual gossip amongst Imp citizens:
• "You hear about what happened with Stella? Broke the cosmic treaty, they say. Now the Goetias are swarming around Via like she's the last piece of cake at a buffet."
• "My cousin works at the Royal Observatory. Says you can't even get near Princess Via's new office without seeing a couple of Goetia bodyguards in bird form, pretending to be statue decorations."
• "Yeah, I heard that too. After Stella's little freak-out, the Goetia siblings practically put Via in a bubble. Don't even get me started on Ipos. That dude gives off 'overprotective dad' vibes, even though he's technically her half-uncle."
• "Can you blame them? The whole cosmos almost fell apart because of one psycho bitch. If my kid was the cosmic linchpin, I'd probably be paranoid, too."
Overheard at a Hell bar (likely from a disgruntled soul):
• "Honestly, it's a bit much. I saw Stolas the other day, and he looked like he hadn't slept in a week. Just kept glancing over his shoulder. I get it, Stella was a mess, but Via seems fine. She's a diplomat, not a damsel."
• "That's what they want you to think. The Goetias have always been secretive. This is just their new excuse to be even more controlling. Via's an adult, and they're treating her like a fragile egg."
• "Look, the girl's got the weight of the cosmos on her shoulders. I wouldn't be surprised if she's happy for the extra security, even if it is a bit smothering. The way I hear it, Stella's evil was next level."
Commentary from a Hell news program (likely more theatrical):
• "In the wake of the infamous Stella scandal, a palpable tension hangs over the Goetia clan. Eyewitnesses report an unprecedented increase in security surrounding the young Princess Via, with her celestial relatives reportedly taking up surveillance duty in shifts. Our sources speculate that after the near-cataclysmic feud, the Goetia brothers and sisters are in a state of high alert, ensuring the safety of their precious, cosmic kin."
Whispers from inside the royal court (perhaps from a more cynical observer):
• "The paranoia is completely understandable, and it gives them cover. The Goetias have always been a bit theatrical, but this time, the stakes are real. Stella's actions made the family look weak. Protecting Via isn't just about her; it's about reasserting their power and control after a major scandal."
• "I saw one of the older brothers, Vassago, shadowing Via at a diplomatic reception. He didn't say a word, just watched the crowd with this intense, unnerving stare. The message was clear: 'Don't even think about it.'"
From a Tarantella mobster (sharing observations with another mobster):
• "We got our own code, but we respect theirs. Heard about the whole Stella thing. Even we don't mess with that kind of crazy. My guys said they saw one of the older Goetia brothers, Ipos, with a look that would freeze fire. Don't think anyone's gonna cross Princess Via anytime soon. Smart move on the Goetias' part to put a full-court press on her protection."
Emily addressing the Goetia family's paranoia over Via:
"I know it's a lot to take in," Emily began softly, her gaze sweeping over the assembled Goetias, their regal faces etched with concern. "Stella's actions... they were monstrous. But Via isn't her mother. She never was. Via is the daughter of a Goetia who chose kindness. She's a diplomat, an astronomer—she is her own star, not just a reflection of yours. Just... give her the support she needs, and remember who she really is."
During a visit to the hotel, when a Goetia elder expresses doubt:
An older Goetia, perhaps one of Stolas's brothers, expressed skepticism. "And you truly believe she is not a danger to us? This 'linchpin'?"
Emily held his gaze with unwavering sincerity. "I believe that fear breeds more fear. She is a child who has been through a devastating ordeal, just like many of you. But she has chosen a path of light. Support her in that, and she will be your greatest ally. Hurt her, and you risk losing the very thing that connects us."
Emily and Stolas talking privately about Via:
Stolas's feathers were ruffled, his posture tense. "She is... she is so much like her mother, sometimes. I see Stella in her eyes, her sharp wit..."
Emily placed a comforting hand on his arm. "And you see you in her, too, Stolas. The compassion, the thirst for knowledge. Via is a new chapter, not just a rewrite of an old one. Focus on the good that you and Amethyst have put into her soul, and let that guide you. Not the ghost of Stella."
Emily reminding the Goetias of the peace treaty:
"This is bigger than any of our families," Emily stated firmly during a tense Goetia family meeting. "The Hamephorash and the Goetias made a pact long ago for the sake of the cosmos itself. Stella's cruelty threatened that. Now, with the Vees and Lute's ambitions, our united front is more important than ever. We're not just allies now; we're family. And we must protect our own, starting with Via."
When she sees how much Via has to carry:
Speaking to one of the younger Goetias after Via had to handle a diplomatic matter with immense grace, Emily whispered, "She is braver than most. To have gone through that trauma and still choose kindness... it's a testament to her strength. We aren't just protecting her; we're honoring that strength. She deserves all the support we can give.
Emily comforting Via herself:
Holding Via's hand after a particularly stressful day, Emily offered a gentle smile. "It's okay to not be okay, Via. You don't have to carry the weight of everything all at once. It's okay to lean on others. You have a family now—in hell and in heaven—who will help you bear the burden. You are not alone."
Emily and Salvatore reflecting on their roles:
Emily's husband, Salvatore, watched her navigate the complicated dynamics of the Goetia family with ease. He commented, "I've never seen anyone calm them down like that. Not even the Tarantellas get them to listen like you do."
Emily simply smiled, looking at Stolas and his siblings from across the room. "They're just scared, Sal. They've been through so much. I just remind them that they're not alone in that fear. And sometimes, that's all anyone needs to hear."
here are some headcanon quotes that might circulate among the citizens of Heaven [0, 3, 7, 8].
Quotes about Sera's protective love
• "They say the Seraphim is all about divine judgment, but if you want to see her true power, threaten her daughter. Her wrath is a sight to behold." [0, 1]
• "We always thought Sera's love for Emily was like any parent's, pure and good. But ever since Lute started making threats... it's like a mama bear protecting her cub. The air around her changes completely." [3, 7, 8]
• "I heard Sera's been having secret meetings with the Goetia family. The treaty they have is delicate, but her protecting her daughter is non-negotiable. She'll even ally with demons to keep Emily safe." [4, 6]

• "Sera's protection extends far beyond the typical. It’s not just a physical shield, but a political shield. She’s using all her power and influence to keep Emily safe, even if it means bending the rules of heaven." [2, 5, 8]
Quotes from other denizens of Heaven
• "We saw Sera's reaction after Stella tried to hurt Via. She moved with such a terrifying, focused purpose, making it known to all of Heaven and Hell that her family is off-limits. With Lute, it's a hundred times more intense because it's her daughter." [4, 5]
• "After Sera sent Emily and Molly to the hotel, the rumors started. It's a strategic move. A pre-emptive strike. She's keeping Emily safe and also stalling the Vees and Lute's plans by putting her in a neutral zone." [4, 7]
• "When Emily mentioned her mom, Sera, protecting her from Lute, you could see a few of the older angels nod in understanding. They know the depth of a mother's fury when her child is in danger." [1, 2]
• "Remember that time Lute tried to undermine Emily in a council meeting? Sera's quiet, but firm, defense was a masterclass in political maneuvering. Lute backed down almost immediately. You don't mess with a Seraphim protecting her kin." [0, 2, 7]
• "Sera’s protective instincts are so strong, they’re practically an open secret. The other angels know that if you want to stay in Sera's good graces, you don't even think about causing trouble for Emily." [2, 5, 6]
Quotes from those with a closer view
• "Abel told me he saw Sera and Desdemona discussing a plan. Sera was so intense, Desdemona had to calm her down. But you could tell they were both on the same page: protecting their loved ones, whatever the cost." [4, 5, 8]
• "St. Peter mentioned that Sera and Emily have a special bond. He said Sera's guidance and protection isn’t just a duty—it’s a deep, abiding love. It's beautiful, but also terrifying when you see what it motivates her to do." [2, 3]
• "Pentious told me that during one of their visits, Emily said her mom was a chess master. I thought she meant figuratively, but when you see Sera's moves against Lute, it becomes clear it's a lot more than just a metaphor." [0, 6, 7]
Heaven's citizens, particularly those in the inner circles, speak about Sir Pentious with a mix of surprise, awe, and cautious curiosity. His redemption is an unprecedented event, and his presence has become a tangible symbol of hope for some and a point of contention for others.
Desdemona, now a saint in Heaven, acts as a warm and compassionate mentor to the newly arrived soul.
• "You remind me of a young man I once knew, always inventing and trying to prove himself," she says with a kind smile. "But the Lord saw past all that to the true goodness in your heart. You've nothing left to prove, Sir Pentious. Only to be yourself."
• "Don't worry about the whispers," she reassures him, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Some here find change a bit frightening, but I know what it's like to arrive in a new, strange place with a complicated past. Just be patient with them, and show them the same kindness you showed your friends."
• To Emily, she remarks: "He is a testament to the power of pure, selfless love. One act of courage, one moment of putting others before himself, was all it took. It is a lesson we all needed to be reminded of."
Abel, now the head of the exorcists, sees in Pentious a kindred spirit and a sign of true change.
• "Adam was so focused on the rules that he missed the simple truth: that sacrifice and compassion matter most," Abel remarks to another angel. "This one... he didn't die for power or glory. He died for his friends. That's real bravery."
• He often seeks out Pentious for a quiet chat. "You stood up to him. I-I couldn't," Abel confesses. "You did the right thing, even when you knew you couldn't win. I respect that."
• When other angels question Pentious, Abel is quick to his defense. "He atoned for his discretions and has nothing to fear in Heaven," Abel declares. "His soul is cleansed."
The normally flustered St. Peter is both mystified and delighted by Pentious, who completely upended the celestial bureaucracy.
• "It's just unheard of! He didn't even come through the proper channels!" St. Peter exclaims to a junior angel. "One moment, nothing. The next, he's just... here. It's a wonderful sign, but it makes the paperwork a nightmare!"
• "He told me he made these contraptions with his eggs... it's a bit beyond me, but the sheer ingenuity!" St. Peter says with a twinkle in his eye. "He's making miniature floating inventions for the celestial gardens now. The cherubs love them."
The Hamephorash (Emily's family)
Though a cosmic and ancient family, the Hamephorash are both diplomatic and cautiously optimistic about Pentious. His redemption is a major event.
• Emily’s mother, Sera, while wary, admits that Pentious’s sacrifice was a cosmic event that could not be denied. "He is... an anomaly. A variable that changes everything," she states. To Emily, she says, "He gives us hope, but also a great burden. We must be vigilant. You and Molly are key to this, Emily."
• The wider Hamephorash clan observes him with intense interest. Some, having foreseen this kind of cosmic shift, see him as a harbinger of a new era. Others are more reserved, watching to see what the fallout from this unprecedented redemption will be.
The general populace of Heaven, initially hesitant or suspicious, begin to warm to the quirky sinner-turned-angel.
• A suspicious angel: "Just because he's in white now doesn't mean he's to be trusted. He's still got that... snakey aura about him."
• An optimistic angel: "I heard he stood up to that awful Adam! And sacrificed himself for his friends in Hell. What could be more noble than that?"
• A group of child angels: "Look at his tail! Can he do the spinny thing again? Mr. Pentious, Mr. Pentious!"
• A higher-ranking angel: "His presence proves that redemption is a reality, not just a theory. Lute's hatred has been shown for what it is: a fear of change. We all have to confront that now."
some hypothetical quotes from the Goetia family regarding the romance between Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb, showing their various personalities and perspectives.
• (To himself, observing Pentious from a distance): "It is quite adorable, isn't it? That little snek demon, so earnest in his endeavors, and that fiery cyclops, a true whirlwind of chaos. A peculiar but utterly charming match. It reminds me a bit of... well, never mind. It's a sweet, hopeful little flicker in the darkness."
• (To Via, with a nostalgic smile): "Remember when you were so intrigued by the stories of human romance, my little owlet? Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb are a living, breathing testament to the absurdity and magic of it all. Who would have thought a snake and a bomb would find such a connection? It shows that love truly can blossom in the most unexpected places, even here in Hell."
• (To the group, with a thoughtful air): "Cherri's vibrancy seems to ground Pentious in a way. He is often so wrapped up in his magnificent, if slightly misguided, inventions. But with her, he seems... more present, more real. And he, in turn, offers her a certain stability, a quiet admiration amidst her explosions. It's a beautiful balance."
• (With a world-weary sigh, to Ipos): "Honestly, another one? A snake and a bomb? I’ve seen odder pairings in my time, but this one does amuse me. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion, except the train wreck is full of confetti and hearts. Give me the popcorn."
• (After witnessing a particularly sweet moment between them): "Well, I'll be. He really does care for her. And she for him. I thought it was just some fleeting mortal infatuation. But... it’s got legs. It's almost... touching. Don’t tell anyone I said that."
• (Observing from afar, with a smirk): "The things mortals do for love. He went all the way to Heaven and back, metaphorically speaking, just to see her. Puts our little squabbles to shame, doesn't it? Pass the popcorn, Ipos."
• (To Desdemona, with a soft, knowing look): "They remind me of us, my love. A bit of a mismatched pair, from different worlds, yet drawn together by something powerful and true. It's a reminder that love doesn't follow a script. His innocence and her ferocity... it's a hellish fairytale."
• (Chuckling to himself): "Pentious's little contraptions, his gentlemanly manners... it's all so very sweet. And Cherri, bless her heart, tries to act like she's annoyed by it all, but her face gives her away every time. She's utterly smitten. It's the kind of uncomplicated love that is rare to see."
• (Recalling a memory): "I once saw Pentious try to make her a little 'anniversary gift' using some old cogs and a bit of hellfire. It exploded, naturally. But the way she laughed, a genuine, unburdened laugh... that was when I knew. That was the real magic."
• (As a matter of fact, to the group): "The romantic entanglement of Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb is a fascinating case study in interpersonal dynamics. Their differences in disposition and background provide a rich tapestry for observation. The potential for conflict is high, yet their bond appears to be a powerful mitigating factor."
• (Taking notes, muttering to himself): "The juxtaposition of Pentious's Victorian sensibilities and Cherri's modern, explosive nature creates a compelling paradox. The human-like need for connection, even amongst demons. Remarkable."
• (To Vassago, deadpan): "While you are passing around your 'renaissance popcorn,' I am cataloging the emotional cues and behavioral patterns of the pair. Their affection is a powerful force, one that defies logical explanation. It's... irrational, but undeniably potent."
• (With a hint of mischief and a playful glint in his eye): "Oh, Pentious and Cherri? It's the most entertaining thing to watch! The little snake is all flustered and formal, and Cherri just... blows things up. It's like a drama with a very enthusiastic pyrotechnic department. I’m waiting for the big finale."
• (After seeing them together): "He's all flustered whenever she gets close, and she just loves it. You can see her trying to hold back a smile. It's a good show. And they bring a little bit of that old mortal flavor back, don't they? All that silly courtship and romance."
• (To the family): "Honestly, watching them is better than any play the mortals have to offer. At least with these two, you know the explosions are real. And the love. I think the love is real, too."
• (With a quiet, observant tone): "Their love story is a testament to perseverance. He went to Heaven, found his way back, all for the chance to see her again. It's a powerful and rather beautiful thing to witness. It makes one believe in the good that can exist, even here."
• (To Emily, with a gentle smile): "It’s a fragile thing, what they have. But they protect it fiercely. He with his earnestness, and she with her bombs. It’s their way. And seeing them, so different yet so drawn to one another... it gives me hope."
• (Watching Cherri and Pentious): "I see the way her eyes soften when she looks at him, even if she's trying to look tough. And the way he looks at her... with such open adoration. It's a rare and precious thing, to find that kind of acceptance and devotion."
• (With a condescending sniff): "Really, a snake and a... cyclops? How very common. One would think they'd aim for something a bit more sophisticated. But I suppose in Hell, one takes what one can get. Still, the fervor is... noted."
• (Observing from a distance, grudgingly): "It’s not entirely without its charm, I suppose. The little snake’s constant attempts to impress her with his inventions and his... gentlemanly airs. And she finds it all so amusing. It's a ridiculous spectacle, but it does have a certain primitive appeal."
• (To herself, after seeing a tender moment): "Oh, for goodness sake. Is that... true affection? How utterly inconvenient. It's going to ruin everything. You can't have true love running around Hell. It's... undignified. But there it is, plain as day."
• (With a soft, maternal smile): "Oh, that dear boy Pentious and his fiery Cherri. I think it’s the most wonderful thing. A little bit of sweetness in this bitter world. It reminds me of the old stories, of star-crossed lovers, but with a much more... explosive... flavor."
• (To Emily, with a fond sigh): "You can tell they truly care for one another. Pentious is always trying to protect her, in his own fumbling way. And Cherri... she might act like she doesn't need protecting, but you can see how much she appreciates his efforts. It's a perfect match."
• (Observing the couple): "Pentious's dedication is truly something else. To go through what he did, just to be with her again... that's the kind of love that can move mountains. Or, in this case, bring a soul back from Heaven to be with their bomb-loving partner."
headcanon quotes recalling Molly's first meeting with the Goetia family, based on the provided scenario:
"Stolas was the first one I really talked to, and oh, my stars, he was so much more sensitive than I'd expected," Molly explained to Emily one afternoon in the hotel kitchen. "He carries the weight of the cosmos on his shoulders, no joke. When he told me what happened with Stella and Via, his eyes were just… brimming. He was so worried for his little starling. I told him he wasn't a monster and that Via knows she's loved. He just... gave me this look. Like he hadn't heard that in a long, long time."
"Vassago is a real trip. He's this big, intimidating griffin demon, but he gave me a look like he was sizing up my outfit, not me," Molly said, giggling to Cherri Bomb. "He totally approved, by the way. He told me my vintage Dior was 'a bold choice, not lacking in texture.' And when I mentioned my aspirations as a designer, he just nodded and said, 'The Schiaparellis have a fine sense of line. Do better.' It wasn't mean, it was... honest. A total perfectionist. He is a little sarcastic though—I mentioned it was a pleasure to meet him, and he just gestured to his popcorn bucket and said, 'It's a pleasure to watch the show.'"
Molly on meeting Amethyst
"Amethyst is just a force of nature, honey," Molly told Angel Dust over the phone. "She came up to me and looked me up and down, then smiled the biggest, most beautiful smile. She told me she admired my courage for moving to Hell and that my mother, Constanza, was a legend. We swapped stories about our family histories and she told me all about the Schiaparellis. She was so proud of her daughter Desdemona and so happy for her. But her love for her children, especially Stolas, was so clear. She's got Ozzie's warmth, but with a Goetia royal’s confidence. She also showed me a tiny charm, a little crystal heart, and told me it was 'for when you need a little sparkle against the darkness.' She's an icon, seriously."
"Ipos was fascinating, a lot more reserved than the others," Molly told her brother, Arackniss, during a video call. "He stood off to the side, but he was watching everything. He eventually came over and quietly thanked me for helping their family. I told him he didn't have to thank me, and he just smiled and said, 'No, I believe I do. It is a rare kindness to aid those outside of your purview.' He then showed me this old-looking ring with a stylized horse on it, and he explained its history and significance. It was like he was giving me a story and a lesson all at once. He's very thoughtful, in a silent sort of way.
Molly on meeting Orobas, Gaap, and Seir
"The younger siblings are just bundles of personality," Molly shared with Emily. "Orobas gave me a big, loud hug, and kept exclaiming over my 'new celestial aura.' He's just... a bundle of energy. Gaap is very chill, but he seemed to be looking through me, not at me. He had a knowing little smirk on his face the whole time, like he knew a secret I didn't. And Seir is like a tiny, elegant little hawk. She didn't say much but just gave me a curt nod and a warm smile. They all felt like family, in a way. Like they just knew, from the second they saw us, that we were on their side."
Molly on meeting Astaroth and Gremory
"Astaroth and Gremory were both incredibly kind, but in different ways," Molly told Pentious during one of their visits. "Astaroth has this very gentle, thoughtful energy. She said she was so glad to have allies in Heaven, and that she'd heard so much about my family. Gremory was more theatrical, striking these dramatic poses and telling me that my 'fashion sense is divine, truly!' She helped me with some of my designs, giving me tips on how to incorporate more Hellish textures without losing the heavenly elegance. She's a bit of a diva, but in a very fun way."
