The next day, twins were having their birthday party and invited a bunch of kids after school. Lola hoped for a smaller celebration with just their family, but she let it pass just this once as a treat for their special day.

Both of the girls grew to seek popularity, though in a different way. Venus hoped her musical talent will help her achieve fame, while Diana just wanted to surround herself with lots of loyal friends. They also both ended up bisexual.

Ultimately, the dinner was a success and Burb children were accepted into the private school. John felt like he was sweating buckets by the end of the visit, but he couldn't also help feeling somewhat proud about this accomplishment for the kids.

Still feeling a little lightheaded from all the talking, he agreed when Holly asked for a permission to go out late with her friend. She wanted to celebrate and share the news of her success.

She probably wasn't aware how rich the Capps are, cause Lysander arriving in a limo wasn't on her bucket list.

That's all for the week with Burbs, though. Next one is with the Oldies - Violet and his reformed ex-burglar boyfriend Gordon.

The kids had to rush and do some last-minute cleaning in their rooms. Since the Headmaster was making a tour around the house and Kaylynn didn't have time to do it for them, they needed to give their best impression.

The Burbs felt somewhat out of place in the conversation with the Headmaster. He was all official, talking about how well-funded and prestigious his school is. They mostly smiled and nodded in return, but knowing this will leave a lasting impression on him and possibly sabotage the kids' chances at being accepted, John tried to pepper in some of his work talk to make the Headmaster swoon.

Archie was a little too shy to join the dinner. Holly, sacrificing leaving her best impression on the guest, decided to stay in the living room with her brother and keep him company. She couldn't believe how much she grew to care about those little gremlins.

Holly and Kaylynn ultimately agreed to go for the private school despite John's worries. For Kaylynn it was a good opportunity to make her children more respected in town and give them a better environment for education; Holly was just looking forward to a fancy school with the boy she liked.

Kaylynn invited the headmaster over for late dinner, while John tried to trust his wife in making the right decision. He was just concerned about his family following his ex-wife's ideas about money and prestige.

At least the younger kids didn't seem to care about it too much. He admired their innocence and hoped they'd just grow up to appreciate the nature and simple things in life.

John invited Lucy over for Sunday as a last resort. He hoped his eldest daughter will give them some insight on how it feels to attend a private school and if she thinks her siblings would actually benefit from it. To his surprise, Lucy was actually praising the idea and encouraged his sister to go for it.

For Lucy it was also an opportunity to meet her other siblings. In the chaos of moving out to the Larsons and then leaving for the university, it's a shame to admit she had no chance to get to know the twins or Archie.

While Holly was out at the park, her younger siblings were enjoying themselves at home. Emily became obsessed with the life simulation video games and could spend long weekend hours in front of the screen.

Maya continued helping around the greenhouse. She was spending all the free time in there, tending to the plants and building up her interest in nature even more.

John could finally use his free Saturday time to play with Tucker Jr. He felt like his buddy was neglected with all the family chaos and moving to a new place.

The Burb kids may have their chaotic moments, but they've been raised well and know how to show appreciation to their parents. Even if it's by gifting Kaylynn flowers from her own garden.

Kaylynn hoped her kids would be as neat as her, but Maya and Archie were particularly sloppy. She was a little worried about ending up in a similar situation to her childhood home, where she had to take care of all her sloppy relatives from a very young age. But she also didn't have the heart to scold her kids for messy eating.

Later, Archie wanted to learn some basic skills and while reading books about mechanics, he found out it's something he's really interested in.

Kaylynn noticed her kids still being a little awkward around the new house, as if they didn't see it as theirs just yet. They seemed a bit overwhelmed with how spacious is it, but she knew they will grow to love it soon.

Kaylynn was incredibly happy about meeting John and letting him turn her life around. In her naivety she tried to pursue an irresponsible married man, who didn't even want to acknowledge his affair child. In a way she was glad John's wife cheated on him and caused the divorce, so that they had a chance to be together.
