14. “It was the week of my first show, Ablaze. And at the last minute I ended up being thrown into this piece, Latch, which was probably the scariest thing that could happen to a newbie frosh. I honestly did not think I would be able to learn it and live up to Maria Yu, who was literally made for the piece.
It was a crucial learning experience for me though, and it taught me a lot about jumping in and stepping up. It also forced me to stop caring so much about being nervous when I perform, and to start enjoying the time diSiac shares together onstage. This experience embodies the spirit of this company for me. diSiac throws us into situations where we are in charge and have to step up to make sure the company runs smoothly.
