Unbridled – Peoples of Arius – The Emim
Another race for my rapidly growing fantasy setting! Believe me when I say this is just the tip of the iceberg. I have so much editing ahead of me...
Featuring the first of the races aligned to the Compact - the Emim. Also known as “Giantkin”, the Emim descended from ancient barbarians, monsters, and warriors who have since turned to lives of peaceful solitude and shamanism. However with ongoing enroachment upon their sacred lands in the modern era, the Emim look to the aid of some unlikely allies.
You can read about the Emim here.
Why is no one talking about the elephant in the room, aka, the Emim (probably) being former Rephaim infected, corrupted and turned into rotten giants by the half-urge?
Is it because it’s so obvious we don’t have to point it out? Or am I the only one thinking this?
[The Emite] was muscled and grotesque, with a blunt head, and its skin had a shiny, bloated look. Eveything about it was too long, as if it had been stretched: its arms, its legs, its neck. A spine pressed through its skin like a knife edge. Its eyes were pure white orbs. slighty luminous, like moons.
The Mime Order, page 391, a quote to illustrate my point. The Emim have similar characterics as the Rephaim but with a rather monstrous appearance: large size (rotten giants), shiny skin (compare to the metallic skin of the Rephaim) and luminous eyes.
Are the emim sarx creatures, or are they made of something more putrid and decaying?
Technically, yes, they are sarx-creatures. Everything from the Netherworld is.
Thank you for answering ! Will anyone be immune to the Enim ?
Humans are immune to the effects of Emite bites so long as their bloodstream isn’t compromised, e.g. with alcohol or drugs.
T-50 minutes.

Are there supposed be a lot of biblical links in the bone season? E.g. The rephaites are a species in some books of the bible I believe and I think emin pop up as well. But also the seven seals which are in the bible that relates to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Was just wondering
Yes. Emim do pop up in the Bible, in Deuteronomy.
