✅ IMPROVE YOUR DEADLIFT WITH ME!🔥🥦 COMMUNITY CHALLENGE📈 • • Recently, I hurt my lower back trying to deadlift 260kg when I was sore. This was amazingly dumb. I know that🙈 • • HOWEVER, this fail made me, once more, aware of my greatest weakness: the LOCKOUT. While my technique was „good“ meaning „healthy“ it was not „good“ meaning „technically optimal“. As I proofed: Without optimal technique you can still deadlift 250kg (and probably more) without hurting yourself - but you will have a damn hard time at the lockout. AVOID THAT. • • THEREFORE, I am now retraining the movement pattern - which takes some time and is annoying - because I want to move big weights and am not allowed to do that in this process.🙈 • • 🔥 So HOW 2 DEADLIFT?? Remember biomechanics affect some of the following but in general your deadlift is perfect when: • • 🥦 Position: Stance shoulder-width, bar over the mid of your feet. Feet slightly outward. Grip: Close to your shins. • 🥦 BREATHING When positioned, legs still straightened, take a belly breath and flex your abs to the max. #eminem2 • 🥦 Get the slack out! After breathing you lower your hips and lift up your chest and head to flex your upper back and thereby pull the slack out of the bar. • 🥦 Bend the bar! Then „bend“ the bar at your shins to activate your lats, further stabilizing your back. • 🥦 The actual lift is easy, now. Just push your legs into the ground (while statically holding your back as tight as possible). Don’t overextend!
