EMMA BERLINER Emma Berliner lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. She is a Sagittarius. She recently graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in Film & Television Production, with a focus in Animation and a minor in Art History. Throughout her college years, she Directed and Production Designed a happy variety of short films. Her films caught much attention amongst NYU Faculty for her talents as a Writer and as a Director - most recently for her thesis film “Miss Ellis Island.” During her final year at Tisch, she was awarded both The Martin Scorsese Young Filmmaker's Award and The Oliver Stone Screenwriting Scholarship. Outside of NYU, Emma interned for the Weinstein Company and Supermarché. She worked as freelance animation assistant to NY Times Artist, Jeff Scher, on the short film, “Pretty Dead,” featured on Showtime. Her experience with Jeff proved extraordinarily influential - happily merging her love of art and drawing with filmmaking. Recently she ventured into the world of theater, designing the set for The Collectin’s Running Scared: The Technology Show and writing an episodic monologue entitled “Anne Frankenstein” which was performed during a monologue reading at the Bowery Poetry Club. Most recently she Production Designed and Costumed her first independent feature film, “Running Wild,” written and directed by Melanie Shaw.
