These pictures depict one of two major problems with these figures: the paint not adhering to the Plastisol (a rubber-like substance) body. These paint flakes got everywhere, and stuck much better to whatever they were on (your hands, your clothes, the rug) than the action figure itself.

The other major problem with the figures in this line was the wire armature underneath the Plastisol breaking, usually at the major joints: shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. That caused the limb involved to be unposeable, and it would just flop around uselessly.
