Concept Redesigns of The Dex Sisters parents, Emma Dex and Casper (fall) Dex! I love their new designs so much as it really reflects their character and story more! Casper has always held a special place in my heart but I didn’t really like Emma as I had her as a sort of partial antagonist with nothing more than being an overbearing mother.
In this redesign Emma has more personality going for her outside of being a mom; She is sentimental and clings to her past as a Toppat from her colour palette remaining constant with younger her to older. She holds herself in high regard and has always been quite straight lace growing up. Like her daughter Nicole she can be a bit of a loose canon in her emotions and tends to be unpredictable in stressful situations. The googles on her hat are the same googles Hazel wears as they were a gift to her, Jane has the jewel from Emma tie as a neckless and Nicole was let in on Emma’s secret of previously being a Toppat, the joys of a middle child.
In Caspers Redesign I wanted some hints to him being a rebel like Jane in his youth, yes casper was a delinquent in his youth. It’s what landed him working in the military. Chaos was his calling and trouble was his middle name its no wonder he ended up with Emma. He eventfully broke some of his bad habits during his time in the military mostly thanks to his co-pilot, Markus Aero. After his early retirement he meet Emma 2 years into his recovery becoming friends as Emma was recently grieving her best friend’s death, Heather Dove. Eventually friendship became romance and soon they married.
I love them both so much and was so happy to rework them to reflect their daughters and their daughters to reflect them! I hope you enjoy!
