When you're watching a film is it better to listen in your own language and have your target language as subtitles or the other way round? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys! It’s me asking for help again because you’re all super great and resourceful.
Basically, for one of my assignments I have to write a blog. It has to scientific yet easy to read and about the seminars I attend at uni.
Does anyone have any tips on writing scientifically in a way that’s interesting? Or just general blog writing tips.
