Their garden was flourishing.

Gem and Pearl had been working on it for a while. They were lucky to find a stash of seeds and who are they to turn their noses up at an opportunity like that? It took a few times, but they've finally got it. Their pop of colour amongst the wasteland.

And what better way to celebrate than a picnic? Using those fresh strawberries as a dessert. They're so proud of themselves!

hi!! i’ve recently discovered otherhearted-ness and think that might be me, but i’m having some trouble figuring it out exactly. sometimes i find myself wishing i were a certain animal or that i had certain physical traits despite not identifying as that animal, only with, and was wondering if that’s still being otherhearted or if it’s something different?

wisptober day 1: moon

“Dear Moon, I don’t know if you’re listening or not, but I talked to you yesterday and this morning I found a note from them, so maybe you are. Who knows. Anyways, it’s still so strange without her here. I miss them.”

This morning, they had found a note on their little sibling’s desk that DEFINITELY hadn’t been there before, so Em had some reason to think the Moon could actually hear her. She didn’t show the note to their parents though, she was afraid of what they’d say.

Em was already planning her journey to find their sibling, but was hesitant to break her parents’ heart a second time by just leaving. She spent days making a plan, packing her bag, and asking the Moon for guidance and advice. Eventually, she settled on writing a note and leaving it in the kitchen when they made their way out.

The day she decided to leave, she spent extra time with her parents, and surprisingly, they didn’t question it. As night fell, they all headed up to their rooms to start getting ready for bed and to go to sleep, but Em stayed up, intently listening until the house was silent before making her way to the front door. As she passed the kitchen, she placed a note on the table.

“Dear Mom and Dad,

I’m so sorry. I had to go after them. She means so much to me and I have to figure out what happened. I’ll try to keep in contact but hopefully next time I’m home we’ll all be together again.

Love, Em”

She tiptoed her way out the front door, quietly clicking it closed behind her. Hopefully she would be able to find her little sibling quickly, and nothing would happen to either of them.

I started writing it out of impulse and those three especially (and everyone else that liked/rebloged it) have given me the motivation to continue writing

@/emmaestrella - you're so sweet and honestly your enthusiasm and sparkle is infectious. i feel like every time i see you about, you've got something wonderful to add. i know we've talked about some harder stuff before and i so so hope you're doing well as of recent

@/pseudocyance - every time we talk it's been so fun and i love seeing where the conversations and interactions go. i feel like we clicked so fast, and you're so creative and driven with what you're passionate about. and, i know you struggle with some hard stuff as well, and i'm so proud of you for fighting it

@/mayvora - you are an absolute delight to be around, and i know you struggle to see it but honestly the joy and sun you bring to conversations you're in is unmatched, even when you're having an off day. every single time i've spoken to you, i've come out of it feeling at least a little better. to you as well, i know you struggle, and gods am i proud of you for sticking through
