Headcanon 1.5

In relation to language, Emma can only read Latin script.  This is mostly because both national languages of Kalos are written in it, and Looker never taught her anything else, either.  So, because of this, though she's fluent in languages that use alternate writing systems, she can't read them.

Headcanon #1

Emma is extremely proficient with languages, speaking both English and French like most Kalosians, as well as pretty much any other common language.  She's not completely fluent in all of them, but that's mostly because her skills were picked up from listening to tourists and connecting the dots.  She's especially good at Japanese because her father was from Kanto, although she doesn't remember that.
