Taking a few samples of the plant life in the strange area they had arrived in, Finnian thought it would be fine to let Emma poke around the area a bit. It was always a rule of thumb to avoid creatures in certain dimensions, even if they looked harmless, or hell, even mostly harmless, as Earth itself was designated as such.
But he was certain no one was going to blow it up to make a bypass, for now. Turning away from his research to check on her though he did see a creature and without too much thought bolted toward Emma, swooping her up and away just as the fangs had been shown, holes present, just as he had thought.
It was the color of the creature that gave it away, bright colored, hinting toward the danger "Emma, that could have been very bad." Of course, he paused, then tossed his head, she was dead, technically, so maybe not that bad, actually. Since the poison could never travel through her system and damage other areas "More so if you were alive." He added as he moved to set her down Pulling on her hands to see if she hadn't been bit "At least the thing doesn't spit venom, that wouldn't be good for you. Dead or not."
