I thought about setting it in Australia but it seems to me that America has a lot more traditions when it comes to Senior year and such, that I think are a good baseline for an AU. There's prom and there's spring break and such and we don't have any of that here. Also the adolescent culture is kind of different, like teenage parties in america are really really different to teenage parties over here. We don't have fraternities which is going to be a part of the story, and we also don't observe holidays like Thanksgiving or Halloween - which I want to include in the fic.
What's good though is that I've found a great source for yearly structure and I've planned the fic around it now, so I should be able to just write over the weekend and maybe have the fic finished by Monday (by which time, hopefully 3x04 has leaked :P :P)
