My absolute least favorite of the challenge videos, but god I love this dumb picture

“Very,” I indulged him, unable to resist. Ever unchanging, he lets fashions, trends, tastes, and distastes pass him by with a seeming indifference that bewilders me. He only appears to acknowledge them enough to blend seamlessly back into the shadows.

How contrary am I! Forever captivated. Constantly accepting, flourishing them to my whim. I wore all black then, from the glimmering dark powder in my eyes to the polish of my long nails. Heavy boots, leather in every accessory adorning me. Very fit for the image of The Vampire Lestat. And – it hadn’t been lost on me – reminiscent of the façade we’d worn at the theatre, too.

Part of me wondered if beneath the lighthearted jab of his remark, acrimoniousness lingered. Most of me is certain it did, and does still, but has learned to embrace it as part of his company. Company the wildest of my wild nature seeks.

"If only humans thought the same" I mused, in earnest. "instead they mirror it. Have you seen them, in their plastic fangs and chalk-like makeup?"
