Yeah no kidding that Napoleon definitely did have an angsty teen phase, because WOW some of the stuff he wrote during that time was horribly depressing. If he were alive today, he'd definitely be doing Bon Iver and Lana Del Rey covers on youtube (y'know...if he could sing) and would DEFINITELY been on 2014 Tumblr lol. To me, it kinda seemed that he went through bouts of that angry and defeated phase throughout his life though.
I agree, the phases did last through-out his life. I think at his youth he liked to think of himself as a tragic romantic.
